Remarks

During my graduation days 2009-12 college was very liberal as the principal was from science background but not the Principal is from BJP and right wing follower, so there are many restrictions. It has become GURUKUL. Non-teaching staff was worst, they were never helpful and polite.

Entrance Preview

I got admission in Hansraj college due to my good percentage of twelfth. I always wanted to study in this college as everyone knows about Shahrukh Khan.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course structure was not good the same syllabus was going on for last twenty years. In fact, there was repetition of questions every year. It was exam oriented course structure not research oriented. People studied only for exams not more than that. In fact, many times due to the repetition of questions, teachers covered only some topics.

Internships Opportunities

Not at all. My college dont provide internship. No it was not the stipend experience. I had to borrow the money for paying the fee.

Placement Experience

2.5

I was the student of social sciences, so I dont have good idea about it but my friends who were from economics hons, mathematics hons, etc always gave interviews as MNC and other companies used to come daily for placements. they offered very good amount.

College Events

4

Each department had freshers party every year. Each department had farewell party every year. Besides, there was college freshers party and college festival in which renowned celebrities used to come and entertain the students. Besides, celebrities used to come to promote their upcoming movies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was expensive for some students and feasible for others. Frankly speaking for me it was expensive. Annual fee was 10 thousand and examination fee was 2000 thousand annually. there were some students who used to take money from teachers also but such students were few.

Fees and Financial Aid

No my college does not have the scholarship provision for all the students. Not all the Students from lower sections especially from SC-ST background were given scholarship. No loan facility was offered by the college.

Campus Life

4.5

Delhi University particularly North campus was all about campus life, There was life, emotions, love, hate, fight, dosti, yaari, Chaaye pe charch, canteen me charcha etc. Gender ratio was good, The number of women were quite good. they were in good numbers in class, sports, canteen, etc. but no idea about LGBTQ. Sports including cricket, TT, Badminton, Basketball, chess, carom, archery, shooting, football, volleyball, etc were there. there were perennial competitions of sports. Hansraj college was best in sports. There was dancing group, dramatics group and etc. Debate competition was very good and frequent. winners used to be given good money.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

I was a Day scholar but Hostel was good and the mess food was also good but it was quite expensive. My college's hostel and mess fee was highest in the DU. Besides, there were very less seats in hostel. so, students from outside Delhi had to take the room on rent.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is great including Shahrukh Khan, Ran Vijay, Anurag Kashyap, Abhinav Kashyap, Palash (Euphoria Band) and many civil servants including IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS officials were there. Besides, there was no ragging culture, Seniors were very helpful.

Exam Structure

It was not hectic at all. Questions in exams repeated every year. Students did not study as they knew that the notes of seniors are enough for getting 2nd division But for 1st division people studied during the time of exams and 1 month before that not more than that. I only studied for getting passed.

Admission

First I saw the cut off in new paper and online, then I found my numbers are eligible for first cut off. So, I went to college and took the admission form of B.A. Hons History from the department of history. I filled the form and paid the fee. On the same say I got the admission.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty of History department was good in terms of teaching and also in terms of their qualification. All of them were PhD holders. They used to teach English no matter if there was any Hindi medium student. all the teachers were Brahminical in nature but financially they assisted good students if anyone needed the money.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course curriculum includes learning across 2 feilds like i have economics and maths and later we can continue 4th year to get hons degree . So its really gives time for a person to test himself or herself about which field to go on for as specialization. The difficulty level for this course is easy to moderate.
