Admission in B.tech courses in Guru Nanak Dev University is through JEE main scores and rankings. Seats vacant or left in regional campuses are then filled on direct admission basis also. You have to apply for admission through the official website of GNDU and then appear for a counseling session on the prescribed day. You have to take all the necessary documentation along with you like 12th, 10th, JEE MAINS score card or mark sheet, Aadhar card, etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
syllabus and curriculum are regularly updated on yearly basis. faculty members and teachers are quite well qualified and trained. almost all teachers are of doctorate level. The examination pattern is quite simple - there are two types of exams held in one semester Mid-term exam and End semester exam. midterm exam is of 20 marks and end semester or major exam is of 80 marks.
Placement Experience
Campus placements up till now are one of the best in Punjab. It provides better placements than PTU or Punjabi Univesity but comparing to private universities GNDU somewhere lags behind. The highest package is around 12 LPA and the Average package every year is around 4 LPA which is good but not that much as that of CU, Chitkara or LPU.
Fees and Financial Aid
fee structure of Guru Nanak Dev University is much affordable as compared to other universities in Punjab and India especially the Private ones. There is a reservation policy for SC, ST, OBC students. there are many other quotas too for Punjab and Sikh students. Scholarship and concession are also provided to low-income family students.
Campus Life
Guru Nanak Dev University was established in 1969 on National Highway Amritsar and its campus area is around 500 acres. in such a large campus area there are many facilities provided to students like extracurricular activities, student clubs, organizations etc. there is almost every indoor or outdoor sports ground inside the campus. GNDU library is one of the best in the state with some very old newspapers and books. A few years ago, University was awarded the tag of the second-most cleanest university campus in the country.
