Remarks

Applied or the CAP program 10 new IIMs. Attended a written test and a PI. No quota availed. No age limitation. Minimum marks according to quota availed. The admission process was initiated through an offer of admission letter and upon finalizing the college from the offers I had in hand, an admission confirmation due had to pay. On the day of joining, all certificates were verified and payment for the first term was made.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose MBA because it was the right career progression for me after working in a sales role for 3 years. There are about 38 resident faculty for 240 students in each batch. Apart from this visiting faculty are quite common. All faculty are doctorates from reputed management institutions and have had extensive experience in teaching Mid-term and End term exams with sporadic quizzes in between. 6 terms in total.

Class Size: 234Course Fees: INR 1600000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The placement committee also manages internship opportunities. About 100 companies have visited the campus for internship roles. Role depends on the stream of the internship. A lot of candidates are even offered permanent employment from the internship

Placement Experience

The placement committee organises all placement activities. A lot of opportunities are available. About 120 companies visited for final placements with a similar number of offers being made. The highest package is 25 lakhs. 100% placement has been recorded. Being a premier institute, lots of opportunities after education.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is on a term basis. Each academic years is divided into 3 terms and each term payment has to be paid before the commencement of the particular term. Scholarships for certain categories can be availed. Educational loans can be availed at ease including monthly personal expenses.

Campus Life

Dhruva is the Management and Cultural fest of IIM Trichy conducted around the month of January. Khleotsav is a local sports fest with colleges around Trichy competing. Sangram is a rotating sports fest across the four southern IIMS. World class infra for the library. Many academic and non-acadmeic clubs.

Interview Experience

4.5

Written aptitude test and a PI for admission. This was after the selection from the CAT test. Depending on your profile and CAT score certain IIMS give you a call, This was part of the CAP program for all new IIMs where a common procedure is administered for admissions.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are decent, especially when one talks about its authenticity and compares it to a lot of colleges in the country. We are associated with some good names like EY, Asian Paints, SBI, Vedanta, etc. The mean and median hover around 8.5 - 9.5 LPA mark. Last Highest: 15 LPA and Lowest: 5.5 - 6lpa. Roles offered may not be the best, but they are decent too.

The admission process starts with CAT Exam on the last Sunday of November Every year. The eligibility to give the CAT exam is that one must have more than 50% in 10th, 12th and Graduation. After the CAT results are declared, one must go through a Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. After these processes are done, a composite score will be generated based on 10th, and 12th, graduation marks, Work Experience, GD, PI and WAT performance. Majorly because of NIRF Rankings. No, no quota used. Criteria are similar to most of the B-Schools. The admission process was so so smooth.
