Entrance Preview

There was no entrance exam procedure involved. Cut off lists we're prepared on the basis of Class 12th board exams, followed by an interview. Being well above the cut off, I chose SRCC for the brand it stands for. SRCC is one of the premier commerce and economic institutes in India. A B.com course opens many professional avenues to choose from later, and an SRCC degree always stands out.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

SRCC has designed its course in an efficient manner everybody has opportunity to go in any management field after completion because they have included all possible management aspects in the curriculum like HR, Marketing, Accounts, Operations, Consultancy and more. There are only two courses available, B.Com (Hons) and B.A.(Hons) Economics, which means the institution specialises in what it provides.

Internships Opportunities

Many big companies came to college for summer internships namely Reliance, Philips, Jindal steels etc average Stipend offered were around Rs. 5000 - 10,000/- for the internship i got internship in Mahindra Marketing and learned a lot in that period.

Placement Experience

4.5

Most of the students get placed as part of campus placements and there are more than 10 companies to choose from when you sit for the placements. The selection criteria is usually as per the aptitude test which is not difficult to crack. SRCC is famous for its placements. Around 500-600 students got placed during the process.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Considering the amenities, except for he hostel part, the fees is nominal. The college has a good infrastructure- temperature controlled classrooms, projectors, good sports facilities, library, among other things. As compared to private institutes, the fee is very nominal. However, when one compares to other colleges in DU, SRCC may seem expensive at 17K/year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans are not available. But yes, scholarship for further studies is provided to meritorious Students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities were great. The rooms were neat and clean with adequate security in place. The mess food was though not of very good standard but we had seen great improvement in the same. The average yearly stay was close to 10-12 thousand per year with food costing around 1.5 thousand per month (all meals).

Alumni/Alumna

He Alumni network is very strong as there is a very strong bonding between the students and their seniors. As i myself have attended two alumni meet during my college and have met a lot of alumni personally and had a great talk about how i should further go in my career. Even on calling the alumni they are always ready to help.

Exam Structure

At our time, the college had only annual examinations. There were mock tests but only for practice, with no internal evaluation. So as far as exam stress goes. It only appeared once a year, with the rest of the year being more focussed on regular classes and extra curricular activities.

Admission

The admission process begins with Registration by candidates either at the campus registration counter or online on the SRCC web portal. You just need to fill and submit the centralised pre-admission form. After that, please wait for the cut-offs to be announced.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is highly qualified, well versed in the subjects taught by them. However, they could focus little more on case study method of teaching, it could really help students once they lookout for opportunities post their undergrad. The teachers otherwise are really helpful. They go out of their way to help the students they are teaching or they taught.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
