Remarks

An Entrance exam has been taken and based on the 12th marks admission process has been completed. The overall process was smooth and fast. Brainware University does not show any discrimination over caste at the time of admission. However reserved candidates can avail of some educational scholarships.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have chosen to do BCA because it is a professional degree and I think is relevant to the market need is more important at this stage than just holding a college degree. In our university, every 30 students has an allocated faculty for batch coordination. Teachers are very helpful and the teaching method is very interesting. We have a class test I, class test II, ppt presentation and viva program throughout the semester, and final semester exams every six months.

Internships Opportunities

5

A student can do multiple internships through the pre-final and final years of his or her academics. Normally internships are from the companies of Kolkata and there are ample opportunities for learning. The projects done in the internship will be helpful in the final year during the placement as recruiters like industry exposure over bookish knowledge.

Placement Experience

5

The placement cell of our university is very active and with a huge network. They bring one of the best companies in India to our college campus. As placement is for everyone, one student cannot seat in campus placement drives once placed. However, he or she can seat in pool campus or off-campus drives for better companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 225000 which is pocket-friendly for middle-class families like ours and the college has multiple scholarship schemes based on merit. Most of the fees are based on faculty fees and library charges. No hidden costs are implemented.

Campus Life

5

The campus is full of greenery. It is very soothing to walk around the university campus. We have our annual fest called Anandadhara and it is really refreshing and entertaining. There is a tech-fest called brain stars which is a good source of new ideas. We have gym and sports grounds also for fitness lovers.

Placement Experience:

The placements are really nice. Every year, a large amount of students are employed by Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, Wipro, etc. all software giants. The starting salaries are also decent. Most students get placed, but 100% placement has also been achieved by the college now.

Placement Experience:

Placement eligibility usually starts in the final year, but there are limited opportunities. Some IT and outsourcing companies visit, but they offer low salary packages. The average package offered is not very high about 3-4 LPA and only a small percentage of students get placed. Many students prefer to pursue an MCA or learn additional skills like web development, data science or cyber security to improve their job prospects. After completing my BCA, I plan to gain experience in IT related jobs improve my technical skills and possibly pursue higher studies like MCA. I might also explore freelancing or certification to increase job opportunities. Since I already have customer service and telecalling experience, I may also consider IT support roles before moving into core technical jobs. Building skills and networking will be important for getting a good job after graduation.
