Remarks

The admission criteria are through entrance mode and the minimum eligibility is graduation with 50%. The main pedagogy subjects are science and home science. The students who are applying should be home science graduate. The admission process was pretty smooth as there was a cut off list updated on the University of Delhi website and based on that cutoff list, we have to get ourselves verified in the college only.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course as I wanted to do BEd and it's related to counselling as well. The faculty ratio was 1:23. The teaching method was learner driven and the faculty was quite experienced. The course had yearly exams and the questions in the exams were based on practical knowledge and the difficulty level was medium to high.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

They have a tie-up with many schools and NGOs such as Salwan Group of schools, Amity Group, Government schools, NGOs such as ASHA etc. There was no stipend given to the students in the term of the internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee structure of B.Ed is 69970. There was comparatively less scholarship/financial assistance provided by the college. Internships were provided to everyone at the end semester but there has been no placement meets in my session.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest was quintessence and it usually happened in the month of February. availability of books and journals was good and the library was well versed with all the new technologies. The classroom was well ventilated and have all the technological assistance for eg- Smartboards etc There were many social groups such as Fashion society, dance and music society, Dramatics society. The college has all the cultural and literary activities

Placement Experience:

Students in B.ed course become eligible to take jobs in the last semester i.e 4th semester. The college does not provide any placement in our course instead students themself have to mail and contact different schools to secure a teching job. Average package a student can expect depends on many factors like their subjects, qualifications and skills. On an average one can expect around 6lpa in private sector. For securing jobs in government schools Students have to clear exams like DSSSB etc where average package ranges from 10 -12 lpa. Many of my seniors are doing jobs in private schools as techers while some teach online and have their you tube channels. I am planning to do masters in English literature from DU to increase my knowledge and job opportunities.

The B.El.Ed. curriculum offers an interdisciplinary approach, blending theory and practice across subjects like Education, Psychology, and Sociology. It emphasizes hands-on teaching experience through internships, where students practice in real classrooms.
