Good and nice college to opt for if one wants to be a dietitian.

Admission process was totally offline first i had to fill out the form for it then the cut off came for it in which i found my name. Then i go to college and completed further admission process by submitting my documents and submitting fees for the course. Admission in the course totally depends upon the merit list and no entrance is there for it. For reservation benefits i would say some seats are already reserved for sc students in every course so same goes in this course as well. Admission process was smooth overall.

Being a homescience student, i always wanted to explore this course to learn something new. There are 35-45 students in class and there's only one section for which different teachers are there for different subjects. But in one class there is only one teacher present. Faculty members are mostly M.sc. and PhD. They are very knowledgeable. They share their live experiences of the classes with us. Term exams occurs twice as there are two semesters. Once in nov-dec and secondly in may-june. Exams were a bit moderately difficult, very practical questions are being asked.

The students have to find the internships on their own in different hospitals as a dietetian. College has no role in providing any internships. Although for jobs the teachers upload the vacancies in whatsapp group and students have to approach on their own. Mainly the Students are appointed as dietitian were they have to take dietary records of patients, their health status, their diet charts and various things are monitored by them.

Fees is reduced in the second semester by some thousands not much. There's not hike in fees. Cost for this course is around 35-36K. Financial assistance is provided by college which is around 4-5K per annum.

Annual festival is done in college during march and a DJ night is also organised in october. Libraries are well equipped with the books and journals, research papers with a different section for post-graduate students to study. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and green boards/blue boards. However the size of class is a little small. Various activities like canteen projects, diwali mela, youth mela were organised by students in which they participate fully.
