Remarks
It was close to my house, and it is a respectable institute. Was actually expecting to be placed in a good Construction Campany, sadly that was not the case. Heard that the lecturers for Civil Engineering were pretty experienced. Not much encouragement is provided for extra curricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Wanted to learn Civil Engineering because it's a pretty hands-on course. But after graduating, really don't feel that well equipped to face the industry. Felt like we needed much more guidance than provided. Had to do much of the studying on my own. Learnt more at the library than in class. Some lecturers were very good.
Internships Opportunities
People will the highest CGPAs were reffered to A N Prakash Construction Management Consultants, Bangalore. Rupees 3000 was given as stipend for one month. It was an On-site internship and we learnt a lot from the site engineers.
Placement Experience
The placements for Civil Engineering is terrible, topped with the Corona Pandemic. Two core civil companies, Atkins and L&T visited. In total, only 3 students were placed in core Civil companies. Rest had to make do with Accenture and Off campus placements.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I did not recieve any scholarships, however some of my friends got a few cash rewards for their performance. Was given an internship at a Construction Management Consultancy in Bangalore for a month. it was helfpul. Didn't end up with a decent job through college placements.
Campus Life
There is an annual fest that is conducted called TechNIEks. And there are a few talent hunts organised sometimes. However there seems to be a lack of interest by the faculty in organising these festivals. But the student team is quite motivated to get the job done. There are many clubs you can be a part of.
Admission
Well, the admission was through CET ranking, just the basic and routine document verifications preceeded the admission process. There was no group discussion round, interview or written test conducted by the college specifically.
