Likes

Placement percentage is the one factor I liked here in the college.
Some Teachers are very good and can understand their lessons properly.
The college has a great history and great alumnis which makes the college even better.

Dislikes

After the division of campus, for most of the activities we have to go to south campus.
Hostel fees is very high so we have to find pg which is not near the north campus.
North campus is still in development stage. So it would be boring in starting days...

Course Curriculum Overview

I didn't want to go to medical field so engineering was my priority. And information science and engineering is the field which is trending after computer science. Because of my rankings I got information science and I'm happy bcoz I love tech field... There are nearly 60 students in the class. Most of the faculties are PhD holders and teach very well. Since this is an autonomous college there won't be options in the question paper. So exams will be a bit difficult if you leave any one topic also...

Placement Experience

From third year companies will start recruitment. Companies like Infosys, wipro, TCS, Amazon will come. Placement percentage is around 90? highest package is around 47 lakh. After getting the degree my plan is to get placed in a good company through campus recruitment itself and I have to work hard for that.

Fees and Financial Aid

As per government order 10? fees was increased this year for engineering colleges. During studies one can apply for the scholarship like SSP Or NSP provided by state and central government respectively.

Campus Life

Since the NIE has decided it's campus into South and north, most of the events will take place in the main campus. That is South campus. For example TECHNIEKS was the annual festival of this year. Coming to library, I north campus library all the textbooks are available. But other than textbooks there is nothing. That is the one minus point. Classroom is good and all the classrooms have projectors, fans, lights etc. There are many clubs and organization like ONYX, AGNIE RACING, CREDIT CIRCLE which are working on different fields where students can join. Sports and extra curricular activities are low compared to other colleges.

Admission

I came to nie through kcet. Kcet application can be found in the website of kea. I availed rural quota. So the first round cutoff was around 9201 for information science. Rural quota is for the students who live in rural areas in Karnataka. During admission, please keep one one soft copy of every documents. That's it.

Student become eligible for campus selection in their third semester like I in the sector semester will have someone internships where students will get to know about the industry they will work for many companies in internship and then they will be eligible for the interviews in the 4th year itself like the last two semesters the companies visitor in BMS College of engineering Amazon Google Microsoft and top companies all that all the most top companies because the strength of VMS College of engineering + killed students are very high percentage of students getting placed is like 7030 as in the 30% many of them of 2 highest teddy and some of them do research and other stuff so I would say 70% of them get placed and 30% of them do highest studies place do business and other stuff like star startups mostly I also do higher studies in doing MBA or masters in other fields of interest if I get a good placement I will do job for 1 hour 2 years and then do highest studies

The college with good staff!!

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths.
