Course Curriculum Overview

4

Botany being the best natural science subject's helped me learn more about nature which is very much needed to save and improve them which i learned during the course. Many intresting facts made me endure nature more. Science ia growing feild, each day we get new perspective for s specific topic, that has to be improvised in curriculum. Not only studying old authors theorems, its better to include new definitions as well which help us understand how it's relevant now

Internships Opportunities

3

Apollo medicals, Concentrix, Accenture and many companies conduct placement drives but placement is minimal or may be minimal fot botany students. Companies like Apollo offered medical representative positions. Our college also offered guest lecturer posts after our graduation which was ?750 per hour with around 3-4hours per week

Placement Experience

3

After 3rd sem, we are eligible for campus placements. There'll be job drive for around 1 week where we get to attend. Commerce students get more opportunities rather than Botany students but nevertheless we get to work in medical feilds depending on interviews

Fees and Financial Aid

8000 per year fees. Exam fees had to be paid when informed which would be around 350-450. Sc/Sc/obc students privilege of lesser or no fees ( only exam fees had to be paid). Sports quota, NCC,NSS Students would pay around 3750 yearly fees . Ssp scholarships were provide which would pay the yearly fees of eligible students

Campus Life

3

Fests were less compared to other departments. We would only do graduation and send offs . Teachers PHD programs were the only official celebration we would get to see often. Furniture and doors has to be improvised Students life is good but it could have been more enjoyable.

Admission

I had applied for Christ University but my degree marks wasn't enough to get through their cut off which was 96 percentile for their course . Whereas BU accepted the application, got seat within merit list and admission process was smooth and easy. There's no cut off.

Faculty

5

Teacher's are very good, well versed in subject and experienced. Rajanna Sir, Shivram sir made Botany easy and intresting respectively. Even though there's seems to be biased environment based on category but doesn't affect teaching- learning process. Exams are quite predictable if you study previous year papers bit still everything depends on teachers correction and how well we prepare for the exam

Night Life

3

Cafeteria is little far. Hotels and cafes are to be met only at main doors. There are plenty of food options but only at the main door. no food snacks available at campus . No canteens at all. Hostels are at Little distance( walkable). Their food is fine. But since its forest like area, night life is to be taken care of

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
