RIE Mysore provides neat, safe, and student-centric hostel accommodations for both boys and girls. There are five hostels on campus are Ganga, Kaveri, Narmada, Krishna, and Saraswathi, each having double-sharing accommodation and minimal facilities. The hostel capacity is more than 800 students, and each room has beds, study tables, and storage spaces.

There are 24-hour security arrangements, CCTV cameras, and boys and girls separate dining halls with nutritious meals. RO water facilities, round-the-clock power supply, hot water, and TV lounges are available in all the hostels. A computer room with internet facilities, laundry, and reading materials such as daily newspapers is also available.

Students view on course curriculum

The course is made in a way to establish proper passionate teachers for the future. Curriculum is designed in a way that a student can complete 3 main papers and BEd for each paper (CBZ, PCM,HEG) and also provide 6 yr course including PG for the same courses in physics, chemistry, maths (CBZ,HEG is only 4yr course). Although the course is integrated and diversified but the conceptual knowledge of main subjects are restricted to one paper per subject but the student achieves a good knowledge in how to teach all those subjects (pedogogy is well taught). Students can gain their conceptual knowledge by giving some tine in the library if the campus(well maintained and developed).

Internship opportunities provided by the college

Here we have pre-internship, internship and post-internship (included in the course in 4yr course 1 intership and in 6 yr course 2 internships). Pre-internship is divided into 4 SAP (school attachment programme) where students familiarize the working and role as a teacher in the school/college. Then internship where students starts to teach infront of the students. Mainly recruited to JNV's. (20 or more classes) almost 2 months we stay in JNV's. Post-internship is the time where student has to submit their lesson plans, records etc.. (Which done in the internship period) to the appropriate BOE's (BOARD OF EXAMINATION) and have to present infornt of the students in the college with the presence of our teachers, professors.

Placement scenario in campus, average and highest package being offered

From the 8th semester onwards students of 4yr course are eligible to partcipate in placement and for the students who opted 6yr course will get a chance at their 12th semester. Schools from all over india, JNV's, KV's, schools from abroad (mostly from QATAR, UAE ). Highest package of 12LPA and an average of 4LPA. 100% placement is offered last years. My plan is to opt higher education rather placement (MSc in NM and MIT in BARC Mumbai)

Events, clubs and facilities available in the campus

Here we have regional culturals of kerala (onam), tamil nadu (pongal), karanataka (kannada rajyotsav), Telegana (bathukamma), Andhra pradesh (Ugadi). And other celebrations like Independence, republic, etc.. Also held in the campus. All types of journals are available in the wide and precious library.Speaking about the technology we have 3 big ICT labs with fully equipped computers, printers, etc.. And wifi as well as ethernet connection.Basic Facilities like washroom, classrooms etc.. Apart from that we have student council room, assembly hall, AV hall etc.. Talking about sports we have athletic meet every year apart from that we have games like football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, Cricket, and students are conducted events like RSL (rie super league for football), RCL(cricket), RBL (Basketball), RPL (volleyball). We have social media accounts on every events like dance (discord), (d pearlz) and clubs like COSMOS (for reserching on astrophysics)etc..

Facilities provided in the college hostel and its fees per month

Rooms and toilet service is decent in the hostel. Accomodation is little bit difficult due to 3 members in a room (actual size and setup is for 2 memebers). Meal is completely VEG considering everyone, but quality of food is compromised. Registration is simple because as admission to this college is based on the vacany of hostel.3010/- per month is decent amount (including food and accomodation). Most of them stay in the hostel.

Students view on faculties and examination in the college

The faculty student ratio is 1:55 (may vary) which is not proper according to NEP 2020. Relationship between student and teacher is average. Bhaggya ma'am faculty of education is one of the best teacher who gives priority for the students problem and accordingly teaches the subject. Rani premila madam which is the worst teacher, who has a lot of problem with black magic. Relevance of the curriculum is much easier to get both UG and BEd in 4 years. Exams are moderate (some subjects maybe difficult according to the students eg:- like maths, chem, phy etc..). Failure is less but scoring above 9 CGPA is a difficult thing

Admission Process of the college

Admission through RIE CEE entrance examination to the 5 RIE's (RIE BHOPAL, RIE SHILONG, RIE AJMER, RIE BHUVANESHWAR, RIE NELLUR (upcoming), RIE MYSORE). I got admission in delhi university over this but I choosed this becuase of the course offered here is more practical than delhi university, means we have integrated UG with BEd in 4 yrs it means 1yr of benefit and we get triple mains and BEd in those. Cutoff varies in every year

Night Life

Canteen is present inside the campus and small store for basic stationary, books, sweets is available in tbe campus. Spacious and wonderful library with telescope observatory at the top is present inside the campus. Campus timing is from 9 to 5:30 pm, and hostel timing differs with boys and girls (boys :- 10:00 pm, girls:- 800 pm). Roaming in the campus is as usual and night life in mysore is not that appreciated (within 11 to 12 everthing is closed and everyone settles down i their homes)

I chose this college because for education this is the best college for the southern region of India. The admission is based on a entrance test called RIE CEE. It consits of subjects English, reasoning and teaching aptitude . English-20 questions Reasoning-30questions Teaching aptitude-30 questions Each correct answer carries 2 marks and wrong answer -0.5 mark. Duration 120 minutes. 60 % of this test marks is considered and 40 % is added from the aggregate of class 12 and makes it up to overall 100 marks.

I've applied to the some collages kerala for BSc Physics degree. I got admission in almost every college I've applied. I was doing BSc Physics in farook college for 2 months. Then the entrance result got published and since it's degree including integrated masters degree along with B.Ed i chose this college. Students can take admission in this college by appearing for the common entrance examination (CEE) through which students are allotted to RIE for every courses. 75 percentage is the approximate cut off mark which calculated along with your class 12 marks. Overall admission experience was nice.

The roads inside campus where students can walk freely.
The telescope observatory under Physics department

Dislikes

The way college functions, where we have to write letter for everything, which is very tiring.
The timings which is from 9 to 5:30 which doesn't give consideration to students personal needs

Admission:

I haven't applied to any other colleges. The interesting thing about my college is the integrated course which gives 3 degree (BSc) in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and BEd in Physical science and mathematical science and MSc in Physics. The admission is based on entrance exam called CEE RIE which is a pretty easy exam. The cut off varies every year and admission is based on pure merit in the basis of availability of seats

I had a confirmed seat in B.Sc. forensic science at Hassanamba University i left it because RIE provides 100% job placement and internship in JNV. I only applied in Hassanamba University and I did not get rejected there. Everyone has to write CEE exam which is held once in a year. For UG courses its state qouta For PG it is AIR

The institute brings together the whole south region through which I felt sort of exposure to different kinds of people.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not of much great deal here.

Admission:

I didn't apply to any other college apart from this. The admission process are: you need to clear RIE CEE examination and they would choose only around 10 people from each state for each course. Waiting lists are also there through which someore students join the college. Cut off changes each year.

A institute which gives well trained future teachers

I like the atmosphere in campus, and i like the cultures from different region, and there are good placement for students,
The student community is very good, and many clubs are there for active participation of students.

Dislikes

Laboratory does not have good equipment, still good quantity is needed for students in laboratory

Admission:

The admission is taken by the exam called RIE-CEE. Southern states students can apply for the exam. And there will be reserved seats for each state and for each course. But there will be less number of seats for each state other than that the admission process is very fair.

Admission process is based on entrance exam. I.e RIE CEE . Eligibility criteria depends on the course you opted. Application form and fees everything you can see in ncert official website. exam will be conducted yearly once

Likes

The student community, the way each one care for other one. Many different cultures are being followed and institute is just known for its own students culture. Raging free campus, students join here from throughout the country
Working days are from Monday to Friday and weekends are off . Vast campus and good environment, especially there is a good use of all the resources

Admission:

The students must have completed their class 12 or equivalent in any state board. There will be an entrance exam CEE conducted once in a year. The application fee is around 1000 and it will be released in the month of April/ May it might be changed in some cases. There are only reservations for SC/ST category and EWS category. The marks and the ranks will be declared after few weeks. The entrance exam will not be that difficult it mainly focuses on some teaching aptitude and English, mathematics. Just need of good knowledge to clear the exam.

No, you can not take admission now to M.Sc. B.Ed. program of RIE Mysore. The admission process is closed now and a new schedule for admission has not been announced.
