Remarks
I have applied not applied to other institution as I was satisfied with my college. I had a quota of ST. My admission procedure was simple, I just had to check the cut off marks of my subject in my preferred colleges. My college first cut off start with 89% and above. And admission process was also a bit simple, you have to go to the college the next day after the declaration of the cut-off mark, and need to fill up an application form and anti-ragging form, that you will be called for the document verification by the subject department and if your class 12 marks satisfied with the requirement of college entry marks then you will be selected. The next process will be the payment. You have to pay the amount within 24 hours after admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had chosen Sociology Hons as my honour subject. The faculty was nice, the student in one department ranges from department to department, in the Sociology department, we had more than 170 students. And our faculty teachers are very supportive and always encouraging us to explore new areas of knowledge. The exam was timely and the bad experience of the exam is that you have to stand in a long queue to proceed with your exam form and exam fees. The exam pattern is not quite that much hard but you have to go through all the topic or else it would be very difficult. You have to attend the classes to know more details about the exam pattern as our teachers helped us so much before the exam to make us motivated and to be freed from exam stress.
Internships Opportunities
I actually a bit unaware of the name of companies that visited our campus as I am always too generous to do my class and other interesting seminars, and I was too afraid to miss my class and do other internship as if you missed one class you cannot catch up the next class. Our teacher is much inspiring.
Placement Experience
From the first semester, you can work in any field that is offered by the college. There are 2 to 3 days fest only for Internship. I am a bit unaware of the placement since I haven't applied to any. My plan after getting the degree is to work in an NGO where I could contribute what I had learned in my college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of the college is between 15,000 per year. If you want to stay in a hostel then you have to give the hostel fees also. There are many opportunities in terms of Job or Internship. You can earn money from working in a different field. Financial assistance is not there in college but you can get the scholarship from directly applying to the University of Delhi.
Campus Life
The annual fest mostly conducts from late January to February. And I must say the fest are really exciting and have different curriculum and competition, seminars and many other. The availability of book is quite good and you can just grab that opportunity. Amenities of Classroom is a bit not satisfactory as in some room AC are not well fitted. And had to do classes in hot weather.
