Remarks

I applied for several colleges in Mumbai and Delhi, my aim was for three colleges in Mumbai, was St. Xaviers, Mithibai, and Jaihind College, I couldn't attend Xaviers because my percentage was less, and from the left two and Delhi university obviously I had to choose Jaihind College, Mumbai. I did apply for the Sindhi quota which is available in Jaihind College. The minimum marks and age required is 85% and 18 years of age, in case of degree college. I did attend the counselling and it was truly good, made us feel at home even in online sessions.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Psychology is a passion. That is why I couldn't choose any other subject else than psychology. The student ratio in psychology is 120 and only 30 students with the highest percentage in the first two years get selected for the majors in the third year. The term exams happened in three gaps of 2 months, there are CA1, CA2, and then semester-end examinations. It was difficult only when you didn't attend the classes, otherwise, everyone did well.

Internships Opportunities

4

I haven't attended any internships through the college because of the lockdown but reviewing according to the experiences of the seniors, it is below. They got to learn counselling and life skills under the very renowned psychologist and expert.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the second year, students get ready for internships and opportunities, in those internships as only very rarely the employer pays you, the highest comes as 15000 INR. the percentage of students getting internships is 80%. My plans after getting the degree are to go out of India for my master's.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about the scholarship case, but my yearly tuition fee is 6000 INR in the first year. The fee is very easily affordable, but as the college has no in-house hostel, the main expense is living and food.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest of our college is SHOUT, and KANI, also Entourage wherein lots of participants display their talents, the journals and the books kept in the library is totally an exclusive collection of the best books available in the world, The classrooms are spacious and have modern infrastructure, the scene outside the window is a marine drive, that is absolutely pretty. The college has uncommon extracurricular activities, best in which also get to perform in the inter-college competitions. The social groups run by students of the college are Rotract JHC, Kani, etc.

Interview Experience

5

The graduation project happens in the third year, and currently, I am in the second year, but as reviewed by my seniors, they got to do an internship under a qualified psychologist. The college gives you a recommendation letter but eventually, you get in through your knowledge and qualification. GD is fun when the college is Jaihind.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Quite substandard and below average. Prioritised rote learning over critical thinking. Just a rubber stamp for a degree. No actual education ever took place. Exams were anually or bi annually. Exams were difficult if you cannot write 30 pages in 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Yes, there is no specific place where we get to know that whether the college is open or not on a specific day like the day which has been declared closed by the government. The college doesn’t provide this facility for us. We have to move all towards our home to the college to get this thing.
