MY VIEWS ON JAI HIND

Likes

The clubs, events and alumni; Shaan, a famous bollywood singer recently visited the college. Their are various clubs in which one can engage and learn communication skills, leadership skills, etc.
The teachers, staff and the faculty. The college focuses on holistic growth of the students with the mind set of 'I WILL AND I CAN'. The teachers are very supportive and teach very interactively.
How can i not mention the library and the canteen. The canteen of JHC is no less than a sobo cafe. Coming back to the library , the library has variety of books and journals one can refer.

Dislikes

The campus is a bit small, and the amount of lifts can be increased for the convenience of the students.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in their 3rd or final year. Top companies visiting Jai Hind college include- Zomato, Spotify, Deloitte, KPMG, TCS, Wipro, Infoysys,etc. Median package is 2.5lpa and higher packages go upto 3-4 lpa. The percentage of students getting placements is more than 50%.

Student Life at the Jai Hind College.

Likes

The atmosphere at the Jai Hind College, is genuily uplifting. Everyone here from teaching and non-teaching staff to students is warm and welcoming.
Professors genuienly care about students and go out of their way to guide us, especially for competitive exams.
The college is located in heart of mumbai i.e. South Bombay-just some minutes from Marine Drives, a perfect place to chill and unwind after lectures.

Dislikes

The campus is pretty compact which makes it overcrowded during peak hours.

The course is well structured it contains modules like Quantum Mechanics, Python,C and a newly added course on generative AI for skill development, which covers a good mixture of theory and practicles. The faculty is supportive and the lab is well-equipped. Its a good course if you're serious about physics and want to build usefull skills for the future.

Very good interaction with seniors & professor.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is good but not upto the mark according to the fees.
Canteen’s provide jain food but neither of 2 canteen is pure veg, so as a jain cannot eat in canteen.
Outside college only 1 small shop is there, non veg is also there so cannot eat there also, need to go till the station or kc-hr college.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is there but average placement is around 2LPA, if i take this job i cannot recover my fees also as i'm gonna pay around 7.5-8 LPA in 3 years. Fees is too high for the placements also this course is a result of collaboration with the IIDE

Regular interactions with industry professionals on one-to-one basis.
No strict rules or dress code, amenities like AC and media lab, great infrastructure.

Dislikes

Food items being constantly removed from the Canteen ‘s menu
Lack of a proper Placement Cell, not being provided with placement
Lack of a proper timetable, classes being announced at last minute.

The BMM program is highly relevant for people looking for a career in Advertising, public relations, journalism, digital marketing etc. It offers a blend of theoretical knowledge along with practical exposure Having to make short films, and documentaries going with a full-blown Ad campaign, Creating a brand of your own and coming up with its entire marketing design, or running a digital campaign.

Jai Hind college - a one in a million

Likes

Infrastructure, excellent lab equipment, top tier placement companies, equal importance to extra-curricular activities.
Peons are very friendly and make you feel like you are part of a much larger family.
Teachers are very helpful and personally guide teachers.

Dislikes

Nothing man, I just love my college, and everyone.
Its a home for me now. Each and every person in college has some memory attached with them.
Love all depts, all faculty members, Principal sir, Vice-Principal. Ma'am, the library staff, my NCC colleagues and juniors.

Placement Experience:

Students aate eligible for campus placements sem 5 onwards. The faculty members always push for Tier 1 companies so that us students get the best possible work environment and experience. And since college is so reputed, every year the same companies keep coming back for more.

Absolutely great and excellent infrastructure and good placements opportunities. The college is known for its strong academic curriculum and experienced faculty. The B.Com program covers essential areas of commerce and finance, providing a solid foundation for various career paths.

The one and only 'JAI HIND COLLEGE'

Likes

Faculty members are very good and good at teaching.
Classrooms are air conditioned and well maintained. additionally new smart boards have been put up and white boards have been removed, this makes it convenient for students to see and also helps in sharing the notes via a qr code in pdf form
there is a good campus placement which the college offers for students.

Dislikes

there is actually nothing in particular that i disliked about the college

Placement Experience:

There are campus placements that the college offers, i just dont have much knowledge about it since i have just completed 1st sem. But what i do know about it is that the atudents start getting offers from 2nd year from various companies.

Friendly and helpful teachers, the aid teachers provide for students and look after their personal academic performance and provide aid for improvement.
The Library provides a very large number of books and they even provide daily e-newspaper subscription for students trying for different entrance examinations.
The lab has a wide variety of instruments and devices that help students understand complicated topics better. The lab and the teachers will even help you if you are performing your own research and they help it get published.

Dislikes

The canteen space is not as large as it should be for, considering the large number of students.
College timing can vary depending on you course but it is not friendly for outstation students.
After the NEP the 75% attendance has been mandatory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason i decided to be a part of the Physics department was because of the lab and professors. The lab has a wide variety of instruments and the professors are very friendly and helpful. Learning from the ex student and alumini's. I decided to choose the BSc with physics major.

Use of lift for students was available at the college
Infrastructure is really good having specialised AV rooom etc also Marine drive is really close
Lab are quite good and specious for working and experimenting

Dislikes

Doesn't have MSc course available for further studies
Canteen is not that good there is not enough space for sitting on the canteen
Campus is not spacious the space from entry gate to entrance is very narrow

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum was good. The syllabus were verified and updated every year with respect to emerging future and scope of botany field. Professor had really nice technique of teaching. It would have been nice if internships were included in the curriculum

Best college in Mumbai

Likes

Excellent Faculty, all faculty is excellent and well educated
Very hygienic, all classes and washrooms is cleaned and they on clean regular basis
Classes is so great, all classes are ventilated and whole college have centralised ACs

Dislikes

They take internals every now & then and in each subjects
Attendance issue, there is 75% compulsory attendance criteria
Students doing vapes in washroom and outside college

Placement Experience:

In semester 6 students become eligible for placements and college also provide many internship opportunities. Tommy Hilfiger or Calvin Klein they take students from jai hind to give internship opportunities And Tcs was also came and give placements There are very high chances of getting placement. Every student gets place and college claims 100% placements opportunities
