Remarks

Overall, a great college especially because it gets some of the best students. The faculty & infra is great too.

Entrance Preview

In our time, admission to VJTI was through Physics, Chemistry, Maths marks in the HSC (12th Board) exams. I had secured 98.33% in PCM. Chose VJTI because it is regarded as one of the best engineering colleges in the country.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was good. The professors made efforts to expose us to the latest developments. I had opted for some interesting electives like Image Processing, Digital Signal Processing etc. My final year project was Speech operated mouse, which also was a novel concept at that time.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship at our time.

Placement Experience

The placement process was quite smooth. We had almost 100% placement during our time. The average package might have been around Rs 3 lakhs per annum.

College Events

Technovanza - VJTI's Tech-fest. Robotics races was one of the special features during our time pratibimb: Cultural & management fest, Enthusia: Sports fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In our times, it was around Rs 15,000 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had got the JRD Tata Scholarship, which was an annual scholarship based on the previous year marks.

Campus Life

As stated earlier, there are lots of extracurricular activities going on in campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel was available only for outstation students. Though I was a locality, I used to frequently visit my hosteler friends at their rooms. The rooms were quite nice. The food was good too.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Though it has been more than 10 years since I passed out from VJTI, I am still in touch with many of my seniors who are very helpful.

Exam Structure

Apart from the bi-annual semester exams, there used to be internal tests. But they weren't hectic at all.

Faculty

The faculty was a mix of senior professors and young M.Tech grads. They were all very keen on imparting knowledge to the students.

COEP Technological University through my eyes.

Placement Experience:

Good placements are offered by this college. Top companies like Tata Motors, Bajaj, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Wipro pari, etc. Average placement for mechanical branch is about 9lpa while that for computer and entc goes up to 15lpa.

My College Life Experience

I Actually don't applied for any other college my preference from first was VJTI only however I do add SPIT on my 2nd preference I don't get rejected I just choose VJTI because it has a great background than any other college also it's location is quite good to get admission students must give an exam name mht cet which is Maharashtra state common entrance test through which they get admission in my course and many other once result is out the admission has to be done through cap round cutoff for my course is between 95-99%+ile depends on various factors like reservation and etc etc overall admission process takes some days but it is worthy...Read More

Detailed and Honest Review of VJTI - One of The Oldest Engineering Colleges in India.

Talking about other colleges I applied for, I registered for JOSAA and CSAB both. Through JOSAA I got the IIT Dharwad, since I got the BS plus MS programm there I regestered for CSAB, through CSAB I secured seat into iiit Bhopal cse. Because it is a newly established iiit, it does have poor facilities. Then through CAP counselling I got seat at VJTI. Then Ieft iiit Bhopal and joined VJTI. Today I think that, the decision taken by me was absolutely right. Apart from this I also applied for IIST Thiruvananthpuram but due to my 12th board score I could not make it. To do engineering in Maharashtra, MH-CET is compulsory and every student here has come that way. Rank of 3000-4500 is enough for general category students to secure admission in VJTI's E&TC branch.
