Maitreyi college- " a right choice"

About Maitreyi college from admission to my experience in College: The admission procedure in Maitreyi college is quite simple. All students need to know the eligibility criteria for each programme in detail and fulfill the same. Candidates need to fill the application form and need to pay an admission fee. Also, they need to keep their documents ready for verification. (At every step there were college students to help the candidates) Good Aspects of College: 1.Education in the college is up to the level with so many cultural and academic societies in the college for the wholesome development of student. 2.College also provides career counseling for the students to discover their potential 3.The college is proud of its beautiful lawns, flowers, and plants ( a perfect environment) which wins regular trophies for University. Bad Aspects of College: College fests were not properly managed (broken barricades, unruly crowd) Every experience either good or bad, overall helps me to grow.

I have chosen B.Sc. Chemistry(H) because I have internet in Chemistry and it is easy as compare to maths and physics (h).So I recommend if anyone has an interest in Chemistry must opt this course. FACULTY OF MAITREYI COLLEGE: The Science Department includes highly knowledgeable faculty members (14 permanent, 2 ad hoc and 6 guest). The Department has produced students with an exceptional combination of academic excellence, creative talents and sport-driven aptitude. All teachers are very friendly and their teaching methods are also so lucid. But there are sometimes vacancies in chemistry department . Exams were well scheduled according to the university guidelines and the exam level is moderate( neither high nor low)

There is a placement cell in a Maitreyi college which provides internship to their freshers so that they can add up in their resume. Almost 60% of the students got internships from our college in various companies. Salary packages depend on the companies they get intern. There are many societies in our college which make students put their efforts and serious about their future so that it is easy for them to get internships. My plan Is to prepare for UPSC after getting the degree.

A fee of B.Sc. Chem (H) course for 3 years is around Rs 27000 and along with this in each semester exam, we have to pay around Rs 1500 as exam fee. Maitreyi college fees are the lowest among other colleges of Delhi University. As I am in 2nd year so I didn't get the opportunity to get a job.

Life is extremely amazing at Maitrey college. *Their fest is one of the best yearly college fest. They organize 3 days fest, one for cultural events, one for EDM night, and the last day for star night. Every year in the month of Feb the theme of the fest changes and so does the name of the fest like Avgaahan and Rhapsody. *Library of Maitreyi college provides every book which a student needed.Along with the books, everyday newspaper and magazine is also available there *Students of Maitreyi college were also associated with ngo named "umang" which helps students to know about social issues.
