Remarks

Maitreyi was my home in Delhi. I have participated in every event possible in college. The working of the societies has grabbed my attention always. You can spend your free time in the gardens of the College for sure. Commerce Department Teachers here are very cooperative(one of the reasons why I joined this College). Being an outsider the only problem I had was a lack of PGs in this area. The nearest place was Satya Niketan which I didn't personally feel was safe during nights to stay there.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am good at practical subjects and interested in Commerce so I chose Bcom Hons. to pursue my graduation. There are around twenty to twenty-five teachers available for Commerce Students while the number of students is around 200. The faculty was excellent for practical subjects like accountancy, maths, stats. Exams were conducted after every six months and the level of difficulty was moderate.

Internships Opportunities

3

Most internship opportunities brought by the college are unpaid. I got selected from College for one of the internships that was unpaid and it was from Hareen Team Work (that's a startup). Other companies that we had in college for internships are fampay, kalpguru, buzibrains, decathlon etc

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for Campus placements in their third year of college while they can apply for various internship opportunities provided by the college. The highest package this year was 550000 pa from Deloitte and Lowest was 100000 pa. Out of 60 students who applied for Deloitte only 8 got selected

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees was not much it was 25000 for three years. Jobs that we got from placement cells were average due to the pandemic. The highest package was Rs. 550000 p.a. from Deloitte and the lowest package was Rs.100000 p.a.

Campus Life

3.5

Rhapsody is the annual fest of College and it very huge and attract lots of students. There are many societies run by every department of students and they have their fest also in a year. Some are Excelsior, Illustrado, Marketricks, Meraki, Enactus etc

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
