Remarks
NSEC has a very large, lush campus IAT the heart of Kolkata .it is one of the most premier colleges in eastern India. admission in these colleges is strictly based on merit, to be precise the admission is done through WBJEE. The main reason for attending this college is because of the state of the art lab facilities. I got interested in this college from quora and other blogging platforms the teachers in this college are at par with all the flagship-level colleges in India. The college is excellent.
Course Curriculum Overview
All the teachers in Netaji Subhash Engineering College have a huge no of peer-reviewed journals. They have a keen interest in research-based studies the student-teacher ratio is very good considering the location of this college. The student ratio in this college is about 1:40 all the teachers have a doctorate in their respective fields and always come up with innovative teaching techniques to develop an interest in students the difficulty level of the exams is moderate to high and all the exams are conducted in time.
Internships Opportunities
The internships offered in the colleges include internships by jp morgan and Goldman saachs and texas internships. The projects included are very interesting and is helping me to achieve my dream career.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters such as Capgemini, Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc. The offers range from 5 to 10 lakhs. The highest package is given by Byjus which is about 16 LPA as a business development associate. The average package offered in the college is about 5 lakhs which is given by TCS for the post of a junior developer. the percentage is about 70% of the students getting placed in the electrical department. I want to pursue MTech after getting my MTech degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is almost nil fees hike in this college as they value education over money. The cost of studying in this college is about 4 lakhs which is quite low as compared to other colleges in Kolkata. There are various scholarships available for students who are extremely talented and students coming from weaker sections of society. There are also various campus jobs available for students to meet up thee daily needs.
Campus Life
NSEC has a very large and vast campus. Every year a fest is conducted which goes by the name of mesmerizer and is quite a popular cultural event in the city of Kolkata. The library in NSEC is air-conditioned and is well equipped with all the latest journals and all the books. All the classrooms are well equipped with an air conditioner and aqua guard. The college emphasis on sports as well as on studies. Every year a sports fest is conducted named zest to promote team spirit and bonding. The college has a robotics club, cultural and social groups such as Rotaract to uphold the ethical qualities of students and seed them with cultural interests in various fields.
