Remarks

I am satisfied with my overall experience at Mithibai College. Reputed and one of the best college in Mumbai. Good faculty. Great crowd. Great career opportunities, The training and placement cell of the college fetches lucrative placement opportunities for the students. It provides full-time/part-time jobs and internships to students. Mithibai surely has the best infrastructure I have ever seen because of its unique interiors and comfort which it offers. It has all kinds of facilities like library, quality classrooms, Wi-Fi facility, computer lab, healthy food in the canteen, etc. There are services for recreation activities as well. All these things have provided me with adequate comfort in these three years.

Course Curriculum Overview

BMS is a very good course which gives you the freedom to opt any course for post graduation, be it finance related or marketing or human resources. Few of the staff members here are most experienced, and teachers provide us with the proper level of teaching and guidance. They make the sessions interactive and tolerable. There is a lot to learn, even when the course curriculum is limited. However, they ensure that they teach in the form of presentations and other seminars, etc.

Placement Experience

Mithibai college has a placement committee made up of Placement Officer, the Trainer, the Faculties and the Student Coordinators. The cell provides opportunities for internship and job opportunities. The college also has tie-ups with a web portal for placement assistance. The college has a good placement record. The highest salary offered is 7.7 LPA with an average salary of 3.5 LPA.

College Events

There are good fests like Kshitij, Reclamo and numero. Kshitij and Reclamo are the best cultural festival organised in our college, which has provided me with a lot of experience. Even I got a lot of experience in other committees which ensure that they conduct events with amazing management. The campus crowd and peer learning are the best, which made me have good connections for my future. Overall, I had the best experience, and I am grateful as well. For students who are thinking to join Mithibai, I suggest you to try for it.

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the college was very good, and the cleanliness and hygiene were the best part of the college. The non-teaching staff was also very friendly. All the classrooms and the benches were neat and clean. The best part of the college was the library.

Hostel Facilities

College doesn't provide any hostel facility. But there are plenty of hostels and pgs near the college. The college does not provide any hostel facilities. The private PG/Hostels are all around the college with amazing facilities. My Hostel costs 4.5 lacs per year with all the facilities, including three meals, WiFi, Washing Machine, AC, TV, Personal Washrooms, and good house staff. Mithibai has Mumba's largest canteen with all the cuisines at reasonable prices. An Indian cuisine meal starts with 40/-.

The faculty members are highly qualified, approachable, and always willing to help with academic or research projects.
The campus infrastructure is excellent, featuring modern labs, a well-stocked library, and great sports facilities.

Dislikes

The hostel mess food lacks variety and quality, which is a frequent concern among resident students.
The placement department needs improvement as more core internship and job opportunities could be provided for undergraduate finance and BMS students
There is a lack of student-accessible Wi-Fi facilities across the campus premises, which makes online research difficult during college hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) course primarily due to its highly comprehensive coverage of core business aspects specially human resources. The curriculum is well-structured to offer a deep understanding of corporate administration and strategic management, which strongly influenced my decision to enroll. Regarding the examination structure, semester exams are conducted systematically every six months, with internal assessments, assignments, and class presentations spread across the term. The timing is generally manageable, and the difficulty level ranges from moderate to high, effectively testing a student's analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities rather than just memory recall.

College is Good

Likes

Infrastructure is just too good- Building is Fully Air Conditioned
Placement are really decent for a Commerce Graduate around 6-7 Lakhs per annum
Lots of student Associations are there to gain practical exposure.

Dislikes

Very Strict Attendance Policy of 75 Percent.
Rigid and Time Consuming Course Structure
Lot of Fests are there but they do not match the Vibe like North Indian Colleges Fests

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent around 6-7 LPA and almost 50% students get placed and the Highest package is Around 22LPA . Many MNCs visit the college such as McKinsey,Barclays, Goldman Sachs etc. • I am planning to get placed in a MNC.

the curriculum included both theoretical and practical subjects related to computer science ,which matches my interest in technology and career growth . The curriculum provided foundational knowledge ,practical assignments ,and project work that helped in understanding real word application More industry oriented training is suggested the exams were conducted after 6 months every semester some times the results are delayed by university

I loved the library and canteen of the college
College community is quite good no ragging is done
Faculties are strict but at the same time they are supportive as well

Dislikes

Small Campus not very interesting can be done on that place
Curriculum is as same as tier 3 colleges not very interesting and does not match to those of other colleges like VJTI
Placement cell is not very active they don't provide internship

Placement Experience:

After 4th year students are eligible for campus placement. Capgemini, wipro, accenture are the top companies visited here and the highest package offered was 30lpa. As of now the placement percentage is 80% and rest go for off campus. And even I'll try to go for Off campus

Likes

The professors at the college were always available for any doubt clearances or any other help
College also offered courses free of cost of latest technologies
The college supported students in taking part in any paper conference or hackathon

Dislikes

Conduction of technical events was comparatively less
The was alumni connection was not available through college
The infrastructure could be improved more

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the fourth year. There are good number of placement opportunities available through college but the placement package is less compared to other colleges. The placement cordinator is helpful.

Some departments here were really great like ETC and Mechanical with a unique culture going on
AIML and AIDS being new branches here are still doing their job very well for the students

Dislikes

The Students section not really tends to help ,as i saw many financially weak students facing the problem of 1 time payment fees and their request for part payments option is always rejected
Infrastructure is decent but in summer season the water coolers are just useless there ,no cooler will give you cold water

Some courses were to the point like IOT was well designed and DSA too with java programming side by side ,still as i said AIML is new branch and needs much enhancements ,the areas where they can improve was always practicals and labs those were always taken casual as i remember

I like the cleanness of the collage and premise
Very good interaction with other peaceful campus
Another thing i like is the infrastructure good campus amenities and learning facilities

Dislikes

The lab management no sitting arrangement many of the water taps not working ect
The office faculty most of them are rude in behaviour
The parking arrangements not well yet and not allowing any of four wheeler inside the campus

I love pharmacy and i love to see me as an pharmacist i like this profession because i like to see the other pharmacists how they work how they wear the lab coat ect thats why i choose this and as soon i get to know that we can also start a business by having a pharmacy license

Dkte is best for practical knowledge because of its pilot plants which are having machineries with good working conditions
Highly skilled faculties with excellent experience of industrial as well as teaching sector
There are many facilities like idea lab and other testing labs are available which helps students in there project related and research related work

Dislikes

College timing is more as compared to other Colleges
Extra curricular activities and annual events are not upto the marks as compared to other colleges
Canteen facilities for breakfast, lunch, dinner are not that good

Placement Experience:

Students are getting eligible in 6 semester for campus placement Companies like Trident , Arvind Ltd, epic group ,uniclo, vardhaman textile ,dyester ,Aditya Birla knits, Aditya Birla fashion retail, reliance, OCM ,donear etc are visiting and offering jobs ranging from 3.5 lakhs to 18 lakhs per annum Highest salary job is given by companies like Trident and epic group the salary is ranging between 18 -19 lakhs 100 % of students are getting placed every year

Mithibai has great placement opportunity as there are big companies that comes for campus placement like KPMG, DELOITTE, JP MORGAN and EY. So it can give great start to students in corporate world. This is one of the reasons I chose mithibai over other colleges. Also there are so many clubs that I can be a part of to form connections, gather ideas and build leadership skills. I also applied to NMIMS, DU and I got admission there. Reason for not choosing was simple that the opportunities for me were more at Mithibai than any other college and it was a great decision overall. Not a very pleasant experience.

The college had a good modern infrastructure but half of the classrooms were either unpainted or under renovation throughout the three years that I have spent in the college. Several areas were under construction which was a potential hazard to the students. I would rather prefer a heritage building like a south Bombay college than a modern half constructed college. The teachers were experienced but lacked the drive to teach efficiently. I did not find the staff extra ordinary. There was little to no connection between student and teacher. There was a lot of favoritism. Overall the college appeared mismanaged because they did not regularly update the college website and did not feel the need to email us the important updates such as exam dates, we had to run around the college campus to read the notice boards....Read More
