Remarks

I joined LIC fam in year 2019, I had a lot of doubts in my head regarding my college but till this day I haven't regretted any single moment of being in this prestigious college. Lady Irwin is an all girls college and situated in mandi house, very next to the heart of Delhi, CP. Lady Irwin helped me in realizing my true self, a more confident version of mine. Faculty is very very supportive here, the best guidance you can get in any college. I'm glad I chose Lady Irwin College as my alma meter. A very very proud Irwinite.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have a very keen interest in food processing from the very beginning and Lady Irwin College has helped me to develop my interest more vividly for the same. Faculty: student ratio is 1:4 for the Food Technology department, i.e., very satisfactory given the condition of other DU colleges. Most of Faculty members have completed their doctorate in Food Technology and have satisfactory teaching experience. They are very supportive and helpful. Term exams were on time and they were of moderate level.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Summer internships are being provided in Mother Diary, DMS, bakery industry. Most of them are non paid. Other than internships, students here get to work under professors for research products as well.

Placement Experience

3.5

Campus placement is a little off from last 2-3 years. But internships are being provided in top notch companies like Nestle, Britannia, DMS, Mother Diary, Patanjali and so on. Most of the students opt for higher studies after graduation. Some of our seniors has got into Niftem, BHU, IIFT and other prestigious institutions for their post graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is a bit high. Paying 26k annually for a course in government college is something beyond affordability for low income group students. Even though there are a lot of scholarships are being provided by the college for needy students, Lady Irwin College is more on a costlier side.

Campus Life

4.5

A DJ evening is hosted by the Students' Association of Lady Irwin College in the month of October to welcome the freshers. And then comes the Annual fest of Lady Irwin College 'Quintessence', it is one of the most talked fest in DU circuit. Lady Irwin College has a huge library where any kind of books and journals can be availed by faculty members and students. There is basketball and badminton team in college trained by top notch coaches. There are 14 societies in Lady Irwin College; Dramatics, Dance, Music, Literary, Eco Club and many more.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are offered on merit basis. The fees is to be submitted semester wise. There is an aura of discipline in the hostel premises. Food is more or less on the average side, but best anyone could get away from their home. To conclude Lady Irwin College hostel is 'A home away from home'.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
