I am proud to be a NSECIAN

My first impression when I was selecting the college was good but it would enhance when I entered the college premises for admission. It is a well lit and well-maintained college campus. My admission experience was fantastic. The representatives totally clarified my doubts and informed me of the various aspects of the college. I would have been admitted to the college on the 15th of July of 2017. I feel fortunate that I have got the chance to be admitted to this college. The faculties are very much friendly besides knowledgeable and I think this is one of the best engineering colleges in West Bengal as well as India.

I have heard from my seniors that this college has the best teaching unit for the Electrical Engineering department. Hence, I choose the Electrical department of the college and it turns to be the best decision of mine. The college sets up my pathway and the faculties lighted up it by enhancing my knowledge and academic skills. The faculties are very much knowledgeable and friendly. Their friendly technique grows our interest in our study. The faculty & student ratio of the department is approximately 1:10. The exam terms are near about 1-2 months but weekly test and assignment are continuously being conducted.

Lots of companies are offering internships to students. After successful completion of the internships, most of the companies absorbing the students also. Even the top scorer of NPTEL is also getting internships to various IITs.

NSEC allows their students to sit for different campus activities from the 6th semester. Numerous companies are visited our college in 2020-2021 at the time of the pandemic also. I have sat for the recruiting process of TCS, CTS, LTI etc. companies. I also have been placed now. The highest package for our department is near about 5 lakh and for our college, it is near 7 lakh. Last year approximately 60-70% of students are got placed from the campus recruitment. After getting my B.Tech degree I will continue with my job and if possible I want to complete my M.Tech from this college.

The fee structure is affordable from an engineering aspect of view. Apart from this, there are many fees hike available in colleges' rules and regulation. This apart, NSEC also comes with time to time scholarship and stipend information for the students and also looks on it so that it should go for the eligible candidates only.

Every year, our college has organized an annual fest "Avanier" within the month of January to March. It is an event for which we all are waiting throughout the year. It is not only informative but also an event full of enjoyment. Our library is one of the best ones I think, each and every section of the library is well maintained. Each and every year, NSEC also organized inter and intra college sports activities and some extracurricular activities (songs, dance, essay writing). This apart, NSEC also emphasizes project building skills and related activities also. NSEC also has a social group named "Rotaract Club".

Yes, there was definitely a GD round as well as a written test. The GD round consists of a lot of college-related question. It was not a GD rather it was a question-answer session organized by the college where we can clarify our doubts, they answered our college-related questions and also they asked for our overview about the college. After that, there was a half an hour MCQ based test for us depending on our 10+2 level knowledge. It was basically a surprise test. I think this test is important to know the knowledge level of the student to figure out the strategy of teaching depending on it.
