Remarks
Lower tuition costs, Greater flexibility, Opportunity to earn a professional certificate, A large and diverse student body. More choices of major and specializations. More networking opportunities to help land internships and jobs.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am interested in learning about electrical engineering from my city. The student to teacher ratio is 60:1. Our teachers are well experienced and pass outs of NITs and IITs. The exams were very timely and the level of exams was mediocre too hard. Due to corona now the exam timing is slightly off.
Internships Opportunities
Our colleges offer many internships as well as industrial training like in the first year we had iot and robotics and in the second year, we had electrical circuit designing by AutoCAD. This training ends with a project which guarantees a certificate.
Placement Experience
From the 3rd year that is 6 sem, you have companies coming for placements. Companies like TCS, Byjus, Wipro etc. comes to college. The highest package is 20 LPA and Avg packages are like 8 LPA per stream. Topper's package differs due to stream.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are constant and per sem it around 50000. Scholarship follows merit and financial assistance is given to deserving students. Currently, I am studying for 2 years but I have already done 2 internships from Railways and NTPC.
Campus Life
Each department has individual fests but the tech fest was for all over college and outer colleges held in April. Sports and cultural clubs are worth mentioning as we have places to play badminton, cricket and soccer as well as indoor games like carrom and table tennis. Rotaract, Phoenix and Cultural clubs are run by students.
Interview Experience
No GD or exam was needed. You only need good marks and ranking in Wbjee or good percentile and ranking in JEE Mains. But I heard that some students were asked for an interview round or exam round who took admission directly or through management quota.
