College life is good

It is quite an affordable college for the ones with low ranks and low scores in JEE Mains. The admission is done in accordance with the JEE scores and ranks with different eligibility criteria for different branches. The admission process usually starts in the month of July. I had a low rank in JEE mains so I searched for the government colleges I would have got at my score. I then searched and founded this college having very low fees and good facilities with a good reputation (looked at collegedunia.com).

I had a keen interest in the Civil branch and also I had The opportunity to get enrolled myself in a government college. So I opted for the same. There are approx 50 students in the class having different teachers for different subjects. All the professors and teachers are highly qualified and have good knowledge of their subjects. Their teaching method is good but some teachers still need to review their method of teaching. The exams usually go as decided in the academic circular provided by the college. The exams are quite easy and sometimes have a medium level. Overall it is good.

There is a good placement opportunity for other branches. Big IT companies come for CSE students. Also, for the mechanical and ECE branch, many companies come and hire almost every other student. For the civil branch, there is no placement at all. Earlier, companies would come for civil, but sooner students got themselves into government jobs. So they stopped sitting for placements. Students can sit for the placements in 4th year (7th sem). Companies provide almost 100% placement offers to CSE students. The highest package offered was about Rs. 12 lakhs in a marketing company. I am willing to appear for government jobs.

It is a very cheap and affordable government college to study in. It charges a fee of approx. Rs. 30,000 per semester(6 months). This college provides merit-based scholarship (to top 6 students in the class; top 3: 100%, next 3. : 50%) and also the Category based merit scholarship.

College life is quite interesting. There are fests held annually usually in the month of October having many competitions related to different aspects and fields. The Library is full of important and interesting books as well as academic-related books and journals. The college provides a playground and also the opportunities to compete and play with other colleges as well. Also, there are groups to join (literary club, singing club, photography club, etc) having numerous activities going on every time.

The room has a capacity of 4 occupants having a large space. It has a balcony and provides almirahs and furniture (chairs, tables) as well. The room has a 24/7 electricity and water supply facility. The meal at the mess is okay. A menu has been decided for every day to be followed but special things are prepared in the mess on special occasions (festivals). The registration process is quite simple and easy. You have to fill a form for the registration and submit the fees accordingly.
