Honest review

Netaji Subhash Engineering College is one of the oldest and reputed colleges under the techno group and it is established in the year 1998. This college is well known for its good placements. The campus is huge and faculties are way too friendly and cooperative. The admission process is thoroughly based on the wbjee rank and jee the main rank. counseling process starts after the publication of wbjee result. The admission process and the new session start in August. I chose this college because it is one of the most reputed private engineering colleges and my brother also passed out from nsec , so I heard all pros about nsec.

I chose applied electronics and instrumentation because I always had a knack for industrial stuffs as well as electronics stuff and I heard that the aeie department of Netaji Subhash Engineering College is one of the best departments and the faculties are also very cooperative. The faculty-student ratio is nearly 7:1. Faculties are overqualified and their teaching method is best according to me. If you follow the class notes properly then it is more than enough to score well in the semester. There is internals which is based on classwork, assignments, and unit tests, and then there is the semester. Semesters and internals are not that hard to pass if you follow the class notes properly.

Cognizant offers pre-joining internships to the students who got a job offer from cts. The stipend is around 10,000. There are also other companies which offer internship opportunity to every student but only a handful number of students got the opportunity to do an internship under reputed companies.

From the sixth semester onwards students became eligible for campus placements. Name of the companies visited in Nsec are- Tcs, Cts, Byju's, Vedantu, Dxc, Dtdc, Infosys, Persistent, IBM, and many more. From the Applied electronica and Instrumentation department, 30 students got a job offer out of 40 eligible students. The Highest package is around 7-10 lacs per annum offered by ThoughtWorks, Tcs digital. The average package is around 3-4 lacs per annum. Almost 70% of students got placed from On-campus placement drives. I got an offer letter from Tcs and my job profile is Assistant system engineer so as of now I will work as an asst. system engineer trainee.

The fees of each semester are around 42,000 and the fees of the last two semesters are a bit high ( around 44,250). So many companies offer scholarships based on your performance and practical knowledge. I got two job offers from on campus. The first one is in Tcs and the job profile is Assistant System Engineer and the package is 3.7 lacs per annum and the second one is in Cognizant and the package is 4 lacs per annum.

Nsec has the best campus. There are several fests, technical fests, departmental fests, and many more. The annual fest of Nsec is Mesmerizer and the name of the technical fest is Avenir. Mesmerizer held in march and Avenir in august. The college library is huge. Almost every book and journal regarding the course is available in the library. The classrooms of each department are very spacious and air-conditioned. Nsec offers the best sports and extracurricular activities to students. Every year various sports tournaments like football, cricket, volleyball, and many more head on the college campus and every interested student can participate. There are several social groups like nsec cell,nsec confession, mesmerized, and many more.
