Remarks

College management is excellent the college takes effort to improve the college infrastructure and make sure it's better than other colleges. The faculty also takes effort to improving students. There are professors that in my view have improved my engineering and working discipline.

Entrance Preview

Got a good score in CET followed by CAP round. Having interest in the field of electrnics and mechanical I had applied for SPIT and SPCE. And got admission in SPIT electronics

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is defined by the university of Mumbai having worked in the field of electronics I have seen that the syllabus is well planned and helps meet the market demand for electronics engineers during my duration at the college I chose the following electives computer organisation, which was based in micro processors. I also got an opertunity to choose image processing as an elective.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college dose not provide any type of internship at least din provide when I was studying there.

Placement Experience

4.5

Most IT companies come to college giving placement to 70% of students looking for jobs. Core companies are quite sparse because of which, students from core branches also end up getting jobs in it companies. However even though few, the number of core companies coming to the college is higher than that of other colleges.

College Events

4

Sardar Patel institute of technology it the sister college of sardar Patel college of engineering. Both colleges are adjoining. Thefore both colleges have different cultural festivals which are enjoyed by both colleges. SPCE has space and spit has udaan. These festivals have participants frm different colleges of Mumbai.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is in range with all the private engineering colleges of Mumbai depends in the student how is the affordability. In comparison to government colleges the fee is extraordinarily high. But considering the limited number of government colleges. The fee of the college is sumthing extravagant.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since my family funded for my education. I do not have knowledge of any scholarships or loans provided.

Campus Life

4

The campus is very nice. The gender ratio is not very balanced. But then it is the same in most engineering colleges. In terms of ethnicity, diversity is v low. 80% of the students are from Mumbai or from parts around Mumbai. There are some people from other parts of Maharashtra and some from Kashmir. Except that diversity is very low.

Hostel Facilities

4

Since I am from Mumbai I did not live in hostel however some friends lived in hostel and some as pg. Hostel facility is quite limited. Hence there was a little fight for getting rooms in the hostel there are large number of rooms and pgs available around the college.

Alumni/Alumna

We had no such contact with alumni through college. Most alumni we are in touch with are through Facebook and linked it. College dose not take any particular action for making the student and alumni contact.

Exam Structure

It is also defined by university of Mumbai. There are total 8 semesters. Each semester consists of a written exam and practical exams. There are a total of 3 projects in the 8 semester. The first year is a combination of subject from all disciplines of engineering. Which includes programming, which helps later in getting IT jobs.

Faculty

3.5

It's a mix of professors of different educational positions, starting from masters to PhDs. The professors are well experienced and have molded students for years alot of these professors are well known for their work in the fields and PhD work. Some professors have a excellent grasp on the subjects, but there are also some professors who need improvement.
