Dislikes
- Majority professor don't teach from scratch, they expect you to be very quick learner. 60% professor you won't like. It doesn't mean that spit don't have gppd faculty it has but it is less in numbers like ys rao sir, manish parmar sir, najeeb ghatte
- It doesn't have own hostel, although it has canteen inside the building. PG is very expensive in andheri
- Travelling to college daily since i live far away i.e i live in govandi and i travel to andheri daily. Which takes more than 1 hour
Course Curriculum Overview
first year course is waste of time , i think to be honest in FE they will teach you C (sem1) java(sem2) only other subjects would be physics, chemistry, maths, digital electronics and oher subjects In SE, syllabus is designed nicely we have datastructures, computer architecture, discrete maths, datascience, dbms and other subjects Over 4 year syllabus of each year is good you may search on google
Internships Opportunities
As i have mentioned i am in SE I have not gone for internship for now as far as i know, spit provides many internship opportunities this is not bragging this is one of the thing that make spit stand out like vjti and coep if you are skilled, you will get paid internship even if you don't get paid, go for unpaid, it will teach you great lessons of technologies there
Placement Experience
for 2023-24: median package = 13 lpa They say 100% placements but its not 10-15 students still get unplaced every year they provide session for higher studies how to go abroad for higher studies so that less students apply for placement like if you study hard, you will get placement here for sure hence, Placement is not bad
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for open candidate : 1,98,125 rupees sc/st : 2125 dj/nt/vj/sbc/tfws : 27690 ebc/obc/ews/sebc (boys] : 112908 ebc/obc/ews/sebc [girls]: 27690 j&k/goi : 26125 All above are total fees Since spit does not provide hostel and mess facilities i am in second year, fees has been increased from 1.75 lac to 1.98 lac this year 2024 College provide scholarship opportunities via email, many authentic trust that truly provide scholarship
Campus Life
if you know how to have fun this place is awesome we have lots clubs and society very active clubs which coonduct regular exciting events infrastructure of college is fantastic commitees like csi, ecell, etc conduct bussiness teaching session, hackathon, alumni meets, etc
Admission
to get into SPIT, get admission in it by cet or jee mains exam both are fine With cet, you have more chances to get admission her as more seat percentage is given mhtcet exams studnets i have got 99.7 percentile in cet, i was trying for vjti and but i didn't get there. one of the important factor was very low fees as i have got tfws seat here For admission process, take all neccesory documents before going to college with dd for fees
Faculty
As i have mentioned earlier also, you can't rely on prof, you have to study on your own as far as i have faced. Majority professor just complete the syllabus they don't care about students whether they have understood or not. Almost every students have to complete the syllabus from youtube or books. But we have few very outstanding teacher also like ys rao sir, manish parmar sir, rita das mam, talele sir, najeeb ghatte, santosh sir, hbv sir, rupali mam
Interview Experience
no interview no written test except mht cet or jee mains on an average score more than 99.7 percentile to get in CE 99.6 to get in CSE 99.5 to get in extc But they conduct GD They explain all the faciliites provided in college
