Remarks

Due to the short distance between my college and home, I preferred this college and I am proud that I took admission. There are a big library, cricket ground and a multi-purpose hall. The students are very friendly and well-behaved. There are several courses offered in college - BA Geography Hons. BA history Hons BA program and many more. The canteen is spacious and the price is affordable too. The teaching staff is hard working. There is good parking alloted for the vehicles of students as well as teaching staff. Hindi journalism & mass communication and social work courses are very much in demand. The admission process was short and time- saving, teachers and support staff helped a lot in the admission process. The best part of my college is that all my professors are well qualified and always encourage us for the future. There are an open gym and many sports like cricket, handball, archery, chess, football etc. The NCC department encourages a lot of students to join.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am in BA History Hons. I always wanted to learn history as a vast subject and when I took admission in this college. I felt very happy because all the professors are well qualified and supportive as well. They all have very vast knowledge regarding their subjects. There are about 55 students in my class. The rooms alloted to us are big and spacious. We also visit the museums, historical sites and archives for subject-related works. The way professors teach us, I guess is fantastic and everyone has their own style of teaching. There are semester type exams and we have to give practicals and tests from time to time. The level of exams is moderate. Students have to work hard to get good marks.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Wao- we are one, this is an NGO that gives internships to students who like to join it. We get to know about many fields like photography, field working, content writing and many more. There are some projects that college offered to students to move ahead and find something new. These products help us to learn teamwork and how to make the best out of the least.

Placement Experience

2.5

From 6th that is the final semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Several companies approach students to join their courses. Around 60% of students get placements in their best knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee of my college is around ten thousand. There are lots of opportunities to get the scholarship from time to time. We got to know about the IAS scholarship as well for IAS aspirants. Several competitions held every month. There are seminars, small talks and presentation and many more. There was never a fees hike related issue. The college also provides financial assistance to economically weaker students. Students also join internships and stipend jobs.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is fantastic and the environment studies friendly. The ground is very big where students can sit and talk and study. The Library provides a calm place to read. The name of the annual fest is Chetna. There are also NCC NSS and cultural fests. There are lots of books related to every subject and course. There are all Basic amenities in the classrooms. Classrooms are clean and spacious and comfortable too. There are several groups like the NSS group, North East students group and cultural group. Lots of sports are provided for the students.

Interview Experience

4.5

There was not any group discussion, interview questions or test pattern. The admission process is purely merit-based. We just have to come according to the cut-offs of our courses, and when we become eligible for it, we can take admission in our course.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.
