Admission process: XAT exam (December) group discussion and interviews (Feb-March). Good: Best college for HRM. it has the best faculty for core HR courses. Good culture and really talented peers. Great placements. Bad: The administration is inflexible.

One of the best courses for HRM in the country. Most major corporates have XLRI alumni in leadership positions. Faculty: student ratio is 1:4. The faculty of core HR courses are really good. Their publications are referred across all MBA colleges in India for HR. Some of the best courses on Law, Performance Management and compensation.

Companies like Accenture, Amazon, BCG, Capgemini, Deloitte, EY, HUL, ITC, J&J, Kellogs, L&T, etc offer consult, banking, HR and other roles for summer internships to the first-year students of the college.

The average package for the batch of 2019-2021 was 25.2 LPA. There were several new and old companies that came to the campus. 100% of students get placed in XLRI and in a record time of 2 days. Top consulting, banking, e-commerce and FMCG companies come every year for placements.

Fees are 25 Lakhs approx for 2 years. Fees are hiked in comparison with other MBA college. The most common way is for students to avail themselves of a loan and pay it back when they get a job within 5 years. Scholarships are available for top students of the batch. The average stipend in internships is around 1.25L.

Annual fest - EV - conducted usually in February. The library is rich with several management textbooks and reference books. Ebooks are also now available for the students. Two learning centres on the campus, separate for the senior and junior batch. XL vs IIM Calcutta is the most awaited sports event.

The single rooms have a bed, table, chair, mirror and almirah. The washrooms are common. The mess serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The hostel and mess charges are nominal as per the locality.
