Remarks

Overall there is nothing bad to speak about the college overall. The college provides many facilities to the students and the campus is also well maintened and occupied with many shops nearby.

Entrance Preview

There is no entrance exam in the college but the college needs valid CAT/MAT scorecard. Yes,there is interview process conducted in the college.The college looks for 50% in graduation and 12th boards.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is of 2 years. The college focus upon practical learning of the subjects. Yes,research intiatives are taken up by the college.

Internships Opportunities

Yes,college provides internship program to the students but the college officially provides summer internships to the students.

Placement Experience

Some major companies come for placements like Bajaj Alliance , Vodafone , IDEA and approximately 75% of students get placed from these companies in the college campus itself.

College Events

Management fest are organised by the college people. They are big events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

20,000 Rs would be the fees for each semester and their are 4 semesters so the total fees adds upto 80,000 Rs. There is some discount for SC/ST category students.

Exam Structure

Exams are a chill because only 2 times in a year exams are held.

Faculty

Faculties are well qualifies and experienced in their field of teaching with a maximum of more than 8+ in the same field. They hold interactive sessions.

Likes

Placements are quite good peers are usually from ranchi
Professors are quite good. They have dept knowledge ot the subjects which they are teaching
Pressure is quite low if you compare it with other b schools

Dislikes

Course curriculum can be made more pratical as it is quite theoretical in nature
Pratical exposure can be improved like more guest lectures and seminars

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students get eligible for placements. I guess around more than 50+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is always around 20+ lakhs and on average you can consider 12 lakhs while the lowest is 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed can be said around 95%. My plan is to get a good corporate job and work there as such no fancy plans.

Life at XLRI

Likes

Great campus life. Everyone gets single rooms, so theres privacy and flexibility to fo things at your own pace.
Engagement activities in terms of fests, committees on campus. Everyone gets a chance to participate in varius events catering to their likes and dislikes.
The professors really lean into technologically advanced teaching resources abd methods usings google classrooms and teams classrooms. This streamlined the deadlines, required assignments and upcoming quizzes

Dislikes

A certain lack of transparency regarding the placements policies and process.
The hunger for more students and contant construction on campus. All free and green spaces are used for more rooms constructed which just deteriorates the quality of life there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The HR course was quite comprehensive. Lots of subjects were dedicated to different functionalities of HR. Lots of focus on Law, and employee benefits, worker rights and employer responsibility. The course boasts of some of the stalwarts of the industry teaching different courses such as the Professor who teaches compensation is responsible for designing the compensation structure over at HUL. It's very comprehensive, and periodically reviewed to remain relevant to the changing times

The professor's are amazing and always ready to help.
The infrastructure is very beautiful and charming.
The course curriculum is up to date so it helps in several areas.

Dislikes

For me i think IMS is best and yes of course you should surely enroll here.

Placement Experience:

There are many companies that visit IMS and pick students by taking exams and interviews. Some of them include Accenture, Capgemini, tcs, etc. These multinational companies visit and you can take your chance by qualifying exam and interview. In short, there is full placement in IMS and you will surely be settled after your course.

Admission:

The admission was done on the basis of the CAT entrance exam. I applied for the admission online and after my application was shortlisted, I took the written test conducted by the college which was followed by the group discussion and personal interview.

A review on my college

Remarks:

The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus life was great too, we have a good library updated to a digital library, labs, counseling center, ATM, etc. The film society used to run film shows at the weekend which was awesome.

The college and campus were built on strong fundamentals that each and every student is important even though they are passed out they would still remain a member of the institute.
