Remarks

The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus life was great too, we have a good library updated to a digital library, labs, counseling center, ATM, etc. The film society used to run film shows at the weekend which was awesome.

Course Curriculum Overview

MBA is a 2-year duration course. In the first year, we studied general courses and from the second year, we studied our specialized area. I opted for Human Resource Management. The exams were conducted at the end of every semester.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities in our college were good. The highest salary package offered was Rs. 2.5 LPA and the minimum package was Rs.1.8 LPA. Companies like Nestle, Pepsi, TCS, Godrej, Hindustan Unilever, etc. came for recruitment.

College Events

One of the biggest events celebrated in our college was the "Akhara event", it was an open-air theatre for cultural events, youth festival, etc. It was a very good experience for me because the open makes it look like a concert or something like that, so it was awesome.

Campus Life

We had freshers parties, national seminars, workshops, study tours, industrial visits, sports events, internships, etc. The labs were good and we also have indoor and outdoor games facilities. There is no ragging in our college.

Admission

To get admission in this college, I took the MAT entrance exam and score 75%. Then, I fill out the application form online. I took the written test again and then, attended the GD and lastly, I went through a personal interview.

The professors in our college were very hardworking and sincere to their job. They were qualified and well-trained professors. We can ask them freely about our doubts and queries. They were always ready to help us.

Likes

Placements are quite good peers are usually from ranchi
Professors are quite good. They have dept knowledge ot the subjects which they are teaching
Pressure is quite low if you compare it with other b schools

Dislikes

Course curriculum can be made more pratical as it is quite theoretical in nature
Pratical exposure can be improved like more guest lectures and seminars

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students get eligible for placements. I guess around more than 50+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is always around 20+ lakhs and on average you can consider 12 lakhs while the lowest is 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed can be said around 95%. My plan is to get a good corporate job and work there as such no fancy plans.

Life at XLRI

Likes

Great campus life. Everyone gets single rooms, so theres privacy and flexibility to fo things at your own pace.
Engagement activities in terms of fests, committees on campus. Everyone gets a chance to participate in varius events catering to their likes and dislikes.
The professors really lean into technologically advanced teaching resources abd methods usings google classrooms and teams classrooms. This streamlined the deadlines, required assignments and upcoming quizzes

Dislikes

A certain lack of transparency regarding the placements policies and process.
The hunger for more students and contant construction on campus. All free and green spaces are used for more rooms constructed which just deteriorates the quality of life there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The HR course was quite comprehensive. Lots of subjects were dedicated to different functionalities of HR. Lots of focus on Law, and employee benefits, worker rights and employer responsibility. The course boasts of some of the stalwarts of the industry teaching different courses such as the Professor who teaches compensation is responsible for designing the compensation structure over at HUL. It's very comprehensive, and periodically reviewed to remain relevant to the changing times

The professor's are amazing and always ready to help.
The infrastructure is very beautiful and charming.
The course curriculum is up to date so it helps in several areas.

Dislikes

For me i think IMS is best and yes of course you should surely enroll here.

Placement Experience:

There are many companies that visit IMS and pick students by taking exams and interviews. Some of them include Accenture, Capgemini, tcs, etc. These multinational companies visit and you can take your chance by qualifying exam and interview. In short, there is full placement in IMS and you will surely be settled after your course.

Admission:

The admission was done on the basis of the CAT entrance exam. I applied for the admission online and after my application was shortlisted, I took the written test conducted by the college which was followed by the group discussion and personal interview.

Remarks:

The college and campus were built on strong fundamentals that each and every student is important even though they are passed out they would still remain a member of the institute.
