Remarks

I opted for IGDTUW because firstly, it's a government college and hence quite a reputed one. Secondly, I chose this college because of its superb placement. Thirdly, the college gives a lot of exposure, there's a credit based system which enables you to choose the subjects you have an interest in. Bad aspects- 1. It's an all girls college. 2. The infrastructure is not so appreciable. Admission process- The admission takes place through the JEE MAINS score. It's cut off goes much lower as compared to DTU, thus female engineering aspirants has an edge over the boys. Reason of preference over others- 1. It's placements and internships. The highest package for 2020 went 60 lakhs per annum. Also, many students got an internship in big companies such as Google and Microsoft. 2. It gives great exposure like any other good government college. 3. It's fest is commendable. It's like the life of our college, "Taarangana- the cultural fest" and we have a technical and sports fest as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose electronics and communication engineering. Its faculty is good enough, they mentor us to a great extent and help us a lot. But the fact is that the faculty of MAE is the best. Student ratio- there are about 150 students in every branch and they are distributed randomly in 2 sections. Hence, there are 75 students in every class. All faculty members have done a PhD in their subjects, so there should be zero doubt in their knowledge. Exam times are a bit tensed because of the large amount of syllabus and exam pressure.

Internships Opportunities

5

The college provides various internship opportunities for the students by companies like Amazon, Uber, Flipkart and so on. You can also go for off campus internships as well. In 2019-20 Amazon took 13 students for the internship and offered 60k per month.

Placement Experience

5

For 2019-20 placements, The number of offers made was 550+ with a number of recruiters almost 100. Highest CTC was 43.3 LPA and the average CTC was 13.33 LPA. The highest stipend offered was 160k per month and the average stipend offered was 47, 510 per month. The highest CTC was offered by Microsoft IDC and the highest stipend by uber.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees for the four years is almost 5k. The fees are not considered high as compared to other colleges. But there are several scholarships by Delhi and the National government, so the students can avail of them. The college also provides scholarship to students on a merit basis and on the basis of the family income, giving 100%, 50%, 25% fee grant to the students depending upon their economic background and merit basis.

Campus Life

4.5

CAMPUS LIFE There are 3 fests which take place in our college 1. Taarangana- the cultural fest 2. Innerve- the technical fest 3. Ignite- the sports fest All three are super amazing but taarangana is the best of all. Various celebrity guests have been invited, examples being Darshan Raval, Zakir Khan, Rahul Dua and many more. There are various events including Mr and Ms taarangana, and many others. We have a big library in our college which has almost all the books you'll require throughout your college time, you can issue the books for a particular time and then on the late return you have to pay the fine accordingly. We have a very big ground and a basketball court as well. The classes are very well lit up and ventilated. But the only thing that can scare you are monkeys, there are like an infinite number of monkeys on our campus. There are about 35+ societies in our College including cultural societies, academic societies, social work societies.

Interview Experience

5

No there were no such interviews or group discussions for the admission. Admission was made solely on the basis of the marks scored in jee mains. Hence the students need to work hard and score good marks in jee in order to get admission into this college.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

My seniors got placed in the 7th semester and a few in the 6th as well. As per them, the placements are the best compared to all other IPU Colleges. Offers from abroad are too given here. For Computer Related Branch, placements are to 90%. Highest Package has surpassed 1 Cr, and Avg. package is about 8 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements

Highest package for the last year was more than 1 crore. Avg package is somewhere between 7-9 lpa. 50-60 % students get placemnt from the college including off campus placements. I plan to either start my masters or join a good job if possible as whatever situation arises at the end of my course at this college.
