Remarks

Jamia Millia Islamia is one of the leading universities in India. It has been ranked the No. In the field of engineering it ranks itself at 28 position including IITs, NITs and other whereas it ranks at 16th in overall universities in India. JMI has the best of the faculties in the country, excellent sports stadium, gym for fitness, huge libraries, study rooms, well furnished and highly equipped labs with latest technologies.

Course Curriculum Overview

I haven't opted for hostel but I am well aware about it. JMI has a wide range of students, on the other hand the numbers of hostels are very less. There is a seperate selection process for it started by application form, interview process and merit list. Most of the students who are unable to get hostel, accommodate themselves in the nearby PG's and hostels.

Placement Experience

The placement cell in JMI is hyperactive. They are in touch with all of the top-tech companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Adobe etc. While Google came for recruitment in role of Application Engineer at the package of 23 LPA, SpringBoard recruited 2 students at 19 LPA and many more. There are startup clubs in the campus and the environment around contributes to it completely. A student doesn't have to worry about placements once he is focused on this academics and focused to learn the new technologies.

College Events

Campus Infrastructure is more than what you can expect from any college.especially the sports facilities and libraries. Labs are equipped with latest technologies as mentioned earlier as well. Documentation is quite vital in JMI. Any student can get the facilities but you have to follow the standard procedure and documentation for it.

DTU FROM A FRESHER'S PERSPECTIVE

DTU has one of the best placements records among engineering colleges.Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester.Top companies like google microsoft ,qualcomm,airtel visit the college every year with many offers.the highedt package often go above 1 cr for cs/it while the average package around all other branches stay around 12-15 lakhs

DTU is a Nice Place

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is its strong point. A lot of the students get placed at least somewhere in CSE especially. Google is the company a lot of the people get placed in. Highest package is around 2 Cr per annum and Average is around 12-20 Lacs per annum. Percentage of students that get placements is about 90%. There are a lot of internships options here and I know some students that have joined internships from the first year. My plans after getting a degree is to find a nice and comfortable job where I can balance my work and life and work hard there for good money.

DTU: A Perfect Blend of Learning and Campus life.

Placement Experience:

At DTU, students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester.TOP companies like Google , Microsoft, Amazon , Atlassian and Deloitte visit the campus. The highest packages touch above 1cr+, with an average around 15-20lpa for CSE. Most Students (90%+ in top branches) get placed. After my degree, I plan to pursue a tech role in software development.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements begin in final or fourth year. So from 7th semester students become eligible for on campus placement.From 5th semester or 3rd year students are eligible for on campus internships with very good package. In Nsut all top companies like Google, microsoft ,adobe, amazon, flipkart and many more visit.Around 300 companies visit each year. Highest package in 2024 is 83lpa in cse branch and 18 lpa average.In cse placement percentage is 70%, and in ee it is lower around 40%.

NSUT- A rollercoaster but definitely must have experience.

Placement Experience:

After internship season gets over, placement season starts with starting from 7th semester. At the start a lot of good product based companies visit and gradually the package offered start decreasing. The placement season lasts for full one year and around 90-95% students get placed. Infosys is major as nearly half the corwd is hired by them. Various other companies too but with very few requirements and it is difficult to get into those colleges as it is tough and very tough to be honest.

I started my master's in Chandigarh University before joining Jamia. We have to clear an entrance for JMI. In comparison, it is much better than Chandigarh University. The fee for Jamia is around 16000 for the course , whereas it's around 1.5 lakh there. Then comes the professors. They are much experienced and better in Jamia.
