Remarks
IIM Raipur is a part of the Common Admission Process(CAP) and considers CAT scores. I went through the placement report of IIM Raipur and compared every other IIMs of the same tier and I found it to be my best bet. Also, IIM Raipur has very good international relations which is a plus point for this college. It has a very beautiful campus and it has shifted back in 2018.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a two years residential course. In the first year, students are exposed to courses such as marketing, finance, operations, quantitative methods, strategy, etc. In the second year, students can choose electives such as finance, IT and operations, HR, strategy and general management, marketing. This year, due to covid-19, we are not called upon to campus yet but hopefully, by the time we reach 2nd year, we will be called upon to campus
Internships Opportunities
Everyone successfully gets a paid internship. And if anyone wants to opt for off campus summers, then they can do that. 100% summer placement was achieved for the batch of 2019-21. There were total of 140 recruiters with 60+ new recruiters. The highest package offered was 3.91Lakh, the top 50% earned an average stipend of 1.15lakhs, and the top 25% earned 1.44lakhs.
Placement Experience
The placement cell works hard to place the whole batch. For the batch of 2018-20, 100% placement was achieved. No of the recruiters were 150+ with 50 new recruiters. We also have prominent recruiters like Deloitte, cognizant, icici. The average package offered was 15.2 LPA. The median salary offered was 14.78LPA and the highest package offered was 46LPA. The top 25% begged an average package of 21.28 LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
The total course fees for two years is 1420400/- The institute has made arrangements with nationalized banks to provide loans for all the needy students to finance their educational expenses. Interested students may avail themselves of loans from those banks. The institute does not bear any financial or other obligation connected with the loan either to students or to banks.
Campus Life
Although due to covid-19, this year we have been at campus yet, we interacted with seniors and got to know about the amazing life we have on campus. We have various clubs and committees and it is a lot more fun on campus to organize various events. Although, in online mode too, we are trying to make the most out of it. We are having frequent online meets and fun while brainstorming on how to conduct various events. IIM Raipur has shifted to its beautiful campus in 2018. It has an amazing infrastructure. The name of the annual fest is Karmaanta.
Hostel Facilities
We have a total of five hostels as of now. Hostel rooms are equipped with a cooling system and have an attached bathroom. Each room consists of a bed, table, chair, and wardrobe. We have a common mess for boys and girls. And it is mandatory for every first-year student to stay in the hostel and be a member of the mess in the hostel.
Interview Experience
IIM Raipur is part of CAP and considers CAT score. It has two processes, firstly, they shortlist candidates for WAT and PI followed by final selection on the basis of composite scores. If someone has work experience for more than one year, then they can an upper edge in the composite score.
