Remarks

Largest IITin india with great labs and research facility. The agricultural department is bigger than the whole IIT Delhi itself. That gives an idea about the departments in our college. The only bad aspect is the closest city is Kolkata (225 km).

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are great. Most of them are IIT alumni and have completed their PhDs from universities like the University of California and other great universities. Exams are not that hard to pass if you really concentrate on the classes.

Class Size: 84Course Fees: INR 280000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Almost all the companies that come for placements visit for on-campus internships. The stipend is not that great but its maximum around 40 LPA and minimum can be around 12k pa. You can also apply for off-campus internships but its compulsory to do 2 on-campus internships.

Placement Experience

If you have a 4 yr course placements start from the end of 3rd year and for 5 yr at the end of 4th year. Highest package is around 2 crores per annum and the average packaged varies for different departments but it's around 25-30 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are definitely too much a little less than 3 lacs per year. But the good thing is if your family income is less than 5 lac you get a 2/3rd of tution fees waiver and if its less than 1/3rd its completely waived off and for less than 9 lacs its 1/3rd waiver. And there are several scholarships based on your merit like means cum merit scholarship etc.

Campus Life

Campus life is awesome. It's covered over 2200 acres of lands. Fests and events make it an even more memorable place to be. Our library is one of the biggest libraries in Asia and it's filled with books from different genres. Sports and other curricular activities you have different societies clubs and cells and great stadiums to play in.

Hostel Facilities

You have a bed a cupboard and a study table some rooms have 2 occupancies some have 3. If you are MTech or PhD students you may also get 1 occupancy rooms. Food is okay somedays they make special dinner which is very hotel-like so its a good chance. Hostels are definitely very affordable.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Students who actively engage in placement preparation have better placement success. About 98% students were placed in 2023. The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

While counselling I got this college along with all the other IITs except Delhi and Bombay.
