Entrance Preview

Admission to kiroimal college is given based on your secondary school examination marks on the basis of merit.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is built up very nicely. In the first two semester we are introduced to the subject along with an elective subject. The elective courses are offered by every department and classes for the elective course are conducted every day and are taught by best of the teachers.

Internships Opportunities

There are student cells and societies that provide and help in finding great internships through out the city and abroad. The stipend offered in most of the internships are not huge but they help making the pocket money but there are always great internship opportunities available for the students through these societies.

Placement Experience

3

The placement and job opportunities to a great instance depend upon the course your are enrolled in. But the college has tie ups with various national and international companies that provide job opportunities for students from a wide variety of courses.

College Events

4

Various events are celebrated in the college starting from national festivals to university to college festivals. Every society and department has their freshers party and fests annually. All the students part of these societies or not are directly or indirectly involved in these events. Then there is an annual cultural fest in the college which invites big stars from the entertainment industry and are attempted by various chief guests and students from the whole university campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is minimal. It varies for every different course. But the annual fee lies between a minimum of 5000 INR and a maximum of 20000 INR which is very feasible and not expensive. The college is a government college. Plus it offers scholarships for poor and meritorious students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There aren't any good scholarship or loan facilities by the college. The college provides a few scholarships but they are govt funded and they donot cover a lot of expenses met by the outstation students.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel is available for only boys inside the college. The hostel for girls is provided by the university which is not very far away either. The boys hostel was in dire need of a repair and reconstruction, So the college hostel has been renovated and it provides good facilities now along with a not so bad food at the mess. But the bad thing is there is not enough room for all the students of the college.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is the best thing about the college. It is never too hectic and never too lazy. Twenty five marks out of the final hundred marks are based on internal assessment and the remaining are given through university examination. The internal marks are given on the basis of attendance, internal exams and project works.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is a mix of both awesome and average. In the first year the faculty provided are average, but for the second year, the faculty is awesome. The professor's are highly qualified and experienced and show great interest in teaching as well as create that same interest in the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The paper has a direct influence on my future competitive examination and job.. The teaching method and course curriculum should be improved. There are unnecessary materials that has to be bought by the students which are not even helpful The timetable is not so friendly while you have a class at 8:30 then spend the whole day and take the second class at 3:30..

My Economics syllabus and the professor is amazing. They explain everything in detail and they are really very open to criticism as well The exam level is actually medium. Since, our professors prepare us in attempting them easily. Practice sessions are worth devoting time in.

Placement Experience:

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for my course, economics hons. , I would say is very relevant to our day to day life. The curriculum set by the university doesn't focus only on indian economics but economies through out the world. The suggested books are also the top books used in many international top universities. The curriculum provides us with a lot of real world applications through various case studies. For exams the delhi university guidlines are followed and I would say now the exams are based on more of practical usage and how materials taught in class are applied in real life.

Like any other course this course too has its pros and cons. It is very different from the fictional or non-fictional books you read. One must have an interest for English language as it has no grammar. It's just the language portion that will be taught.
