Course Curriculum Overview
Psychology is a dynamic subject and in this course we learn a variety of subjects which include cognitive psychology , biopsychology, social psychology, general psychology , Basic statistics in psychology , psychology of individual differences , development of psychological thought and various others . The exams are held at the end of every semeter both practical and theory exams . The difficulty level is moderate .
Fees and Financial Aid
Psychology hons is a 4 year degree and I pay 17 thousand every year . One semester is of 6 months and at the end of every semeter I pay examination fee which usually ranges from 1500-2000 rupees . There are no additional charges and the fee is quiet same for everyone . The fee for various categories differes only in few hundred rupees . There are scholarships for students based on their academic performance .
Campus Life
DU has a range of activities in its campus there are various societies you can be a part of . DU offers amazing social life as students are from all over India . It gives amazing memories and the fests are another amazing part of DU .
Admission
I chose Delhi University because it was my dream university also it's one of the most prestigious university of India . No I was even selected at other colleges but I preferred DU . The admissions in DU are on the basis of CUET exam the merit is prepared on the basis of CUET scores . The cutoff for psychology hons. Is usually very high so the CUET scores above 750 is considered safe .
Faculty
The teachers are wonderful they pay attention to each and every student and explain complex topics in simpler ways . Few of them are very dedicated and are always there to help but at the same time few teachers don't come for the lectures at all irresponsibility and unprofessionalism of those teachers take a huge toll on students academically and mentally .
Night Life
We wind up the day usually at cafes or tea stalls or dhabas nearby which provide delicious food . There's a canteen in every college and some colleges like mine also have a mother dairy for refreshments like chaas , lassi , milkshakes , cold coffees and ice cream.
