Course Curriculum Overview

The various programmes offered by college are well organized to provide a wide spectrum of choices to the students are B. E. (8 Semesters), M.Tech.(In process to start) and Ph.D. These courses are designed to provide the necessary theoretical background and practical experience in Engineering Technology to meet the growing manpower requirements in technological era. CCET(Degree Wing), Chandigarh offers B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) courses in ECE , CSE , MECHANICAL & CIVIL with intake of 60 seats in each. CCET is approved research center of Panjab University for PHD admission.

Internships Opportunities

The fast growing IT industry has great potential to absorb the budding engineers who are well provided with a sound technical background, personality to compliment and reflect the grooming they have gone through during their degree course. CCET, the only engineering college affiliated to Panjab University outside its campus, is firm in its endeavor to provide the technical know-how and an environment which facilitates the students to bind in them the multinational culture. Students of both branches have been provided in-house training in latest technology.

Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (CCET) is under the administrative control of the Chandigarh Administration and is affiliated to Panjab University for its degree courses and Punjab State Board of Technical Education for its Diploma courses.

Great exposure, Learning and Placements at CU- A well rounded experience

Placement Experience:

I am a recent graduate in computer science with specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning. i took admission in CU just because of their excellent placements for the computer science students and what i feel is during my journey they provide i'll not say 100% placements that they guys claimed but yes the placement is really good. the average package is of 7-8 lpa and they offered placements globally like in hyderabad, pune, banglore, noida that are considered as best places to work in IT sector. but in my last year i.e 4th year i have been offered a position of software engineer intern in gurugram and that was off campus so i grabbed that opportunity. and there is one policy of chandigarh university if you opt for off campus placement then you get debarred from the TPP campus placements of chandigarh university and you will not be able to sit in the campus placements of chandigarh university. rest overall the campus placement is good.

The Life in Chandigarh University

Placement Experience:

The placement is the one of the strongest region in this college. From 6th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. From 4th semester,there is placement training program which makes students get ready for interviews, tests in placements. There are prominent companies who visited our college like Microsoft, Google, Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc. The highest package offered by a company is Rs. 54LPA and average placement is Rs.8LPA. 90% of eligible students gets placements. My plans after degree is to study MBA and get into entrepreneurship and business.

Placement Experience:

After the sixth semester, we are eligible for placements. many multinational companies visited for placement such as Amazon, Google, Wipro and many more. The highest package is 36 lack per anum. Around 600 companies offer placement on campus every year.

A TRUSTED COLLEGE FOR A SAFE FUTURE

Placement Experience:

The campus offers good placement in amazon and other high digital online platforms. The placement completely depends on the rank of the students. Many companies such as Amazon and Birla group have visited the college. They also offer good jobs abroad with attractive salaries. Mostly in a year almost 30% of students are placed in job by the college itself. Rest 50% will surely get jobs in good companies if they have good academic statistics. After getting the degree, I would like to get job in foreign country like America and would like to settle there as the college also offers job in abroad.

I was ready to choose btech course (civil engineering ).collage faculty was more than i expected. Collage was more friendly. As in the case of students was very good at college. And also our teachers are more friendly in studies and helping the students in studies.During the examination our teachers works well. And they are able to make the students to score good marks. Collage conduct exams as 4 sections in a year.

The admission process was very time-consuming as it lasted for more than a month but it was ok and the admissions are based on JEE mains all india rank score. Okay so for getting admission in Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology Sector 26 Chandigarh 1st you have to give JEE mains exam for that exam you have to attempts in a year provided by NTA. After giving JEE mains exam you have to apply for Jack Chandigarh counselling that takes place after the JEE mains result has been declared they are total free rounds for that Chandigarh counselling and after the three rounds there are some rounds for spot rounds. If you are looking to get admission in computer science or electronics plans then you have to achieve at least 5260000 rank in JEE mains if you come from general quota and other state there is 85% reservation for students that are in Chandigarh and 15% for other state quota. So as another state quota student and as a hostess and as a computer science student I would recommend you to achieve at least 50000 to 60000 rank if you are looking for CSE or electronics branch in our college....Read More

CCET- an decent college if you want to learn and discover yourself along with knowledge

Firstly,one should have appeared and scored decent marks in JEE MAINS and have to apply through JAC CHANDIGARH counselling and opt for this college. And should have 50% or above in 12th The application for gets out around after JEE MAINS session 2 and can be found on google easily. One can avail reservations like ST,SC,EWS,Tuition fee waiver,etc. The cutoffs are somewhat decent. I had 109000 rank and got ECE here...Read More

For admission they take jee mains rank into consideration and for leet they take PULEET into consideration.
