Remarks

Government college, well qualified faculty, low cost than other private colleges, it is a new college(established in 2016), excellent ambience as located near Bank of River Torsha, anti-ragging campus, internships and workshops done frequently, friendly relationship between senior-juniors ; and ECE is a most demanding stream as its importance in our daily life is vast.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus is good, in details taught by our faculties. They guide us in every possible ways, help us whenever we need, give notes to us, and performs doubt clearing classes on a regular basis. Faculties such as Mr. Sushovan Chatterjee, Mr. Sourish Sanyal, Mr. Gautam Das are mentionworthy.

Class Size: 7Course Fees: INR 54000 per year

Placement Experience

Our college is established in 2016, and only the 1st batch is out with around 70% placement in various companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT, CAPZEMINI and many others have scored well in GATE 2020 exam and will be studying MTech in various IITs and NITs.

College Events

Campus life in our college is great. Every year we have technical, cultural and management fest(ESPERANZA),and a Fresher's welcome party is organised. Besides, Saraswati Puja, Biswakorma puja occurs, and Days such as Independence Day, Republic Day, World Environment Day, College Foundation Day, Teacher's Day are held. Also, every year, we have one cricket and one football tournament in our college ground, and also several other games such as volleyball, footsal, tennis are being played.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers various government and private scholarships to the deserving students such as Oasis, Kanyasree, HSBC, Swami Vivekananda scholarship, Nabanna Scholarship etc.

Campus Life

Our college has 22 acres of campus, having 2 separate buildings for education(1for freshers, and the other for 2nd-4th year students), 2 big playgrounds, several workshops and labs, and 1 library with average number of books, wifi everywhere inside the campus(though it's a bit slow), 3 hostels (1 for girls and 2 for boys, and another under construction).

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

The Techno Experience

Likes

Practical Exposure with hands on training is always good for personal growth
The laboratories were well equipped with state of the art instruments
Entrepreneurship was encouraged and it really helped us with designing future start ups.

Dislikes

Lack of scholarships for the needy is one thing that needed to be worked on.
There was a distinct lack of encouragement to pursue extracurricular activity.
Sometimes it felt like it would have helped if we had a mental health counsellor onboard with the department.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.

Likes

Faculties are helpful and kind and the classroom environment is healthy
Classroom, labs and libraries have proper infrastructure
Certificates are provided for participating in conferences or extracurricular activities

Placement Experience:

Placement is provided in final year . Average package offered is 3 to 4 lpa . Paid internship is provided in 3rd year and the placement percentage is more or less ok. After complication i will either pursue Msc or look for a job.

They provide you with various oppertunities like exposure visits, seminar , worshops, etc.

Dislikes

Labs are not well maintained the machines are very slow

In case of my couse everything is coverd but it would have been much better of they focus on practicals more rather than theory. If they make us aware of all the new technologies that are used in the industry.

Study pressure is not that much it will be sufficient to stu61 months before final exam
No strict college there is not compulsory to wear college uniform
Faculty are good they are supportive helpful

Dislikes

College campus is small infrastructure is not good
Placement and internship opportunities is very less
Number of students in each batch is more

Curricullum is quite ok crowd of students are more coding culture should be introduced need of improvement of infrastructure as well in my batch 2023 to 2027 there is total 3 exam in each semester including end sem and 2 test

Likes

Faculty is really good and helping they do help !
Labs are taken on time and is made clear to us very well
Teacher are very good and friendly for us

Dislikes

I disliked the fact that the rooms get too hot during sumer
There should have been one ac that could have turned on in classes during hot , except smart class room and auditorium
Nothing as much , some little stuffs that are everywhere nowadays in college

Exams are generally spaced well throughout the smemstwr allowing adequate time for preperation , how ever the frequenxy can sometimes be overwhelming particulary during peak study periods , but the diffulty level isnt that concerning and they are easy

Placement Experience:

The University Provides Placements options for the students from the 3rd Semester onwards. For the Department of Geography Companies like - GeoDesign and Research PVT. Limited, Wipro, Acadecraft Pvt limited, Cactus etc. are there as recruiters with an average package of 3 LPA. University takes a target to 100 % placement among then almost 60% are placed and rest of the students mainly go to the research field.

Placement Experience:

Since the syllabus is quite up to date, students learn a lot and are way ahead of their age group students. Most of the students qualify for placements with attractive packages. The university also encourages internships that carry credits in their academic report.

To get admission in this college you have to appear for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and must be resident of West Bengal.
