Remarks

A reputed institution. One of the best college for pursuing bachelors in political science in kolkata. Healthy and safe environment for education. An extremely friendly faculty staff available. Canteen is the place I love the most in my college. My college is affiliated under the University of Calcutta. Also a plus point is that it is just 23 kms away from my house comparatively near to my house.

Course Curriculum Overview

Studying political science is a discipline that needs to have strong foundations. And one can have strong foundation only by good explanations. And this concept is well held by the faculty of my college. Not only academics but students are well groomed for life.

There is an active placement cell available in our college. Reputed companies like TCS and others comes to our college for hiring students as employees to theirs. Students often are promised a good pay scale.

College Events

I am currently studying in Scottish church college and I am enjoying my campus life. The entire year is filled with activities,inauguration of new clubs and their active participation in college and outside in activities representing our institution. We have our college fest every year where famous personalities comes to perform and so much more.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

I love computer science so I chose this department. The teaching in this department is very good and the labs are also very good. We have many exams in our semester.It would have been better if we had studied our theory paper a little better. I also applied to the main university but didn't get a chance there. That is why I had to take admission in this blasted institution. I received the rejected from the University due to my lack of percentage in the paper called marksheet. That is what went wrong. The admission process is completely done through the internet. To apply one must have a minimum of 60 % marks in their previous courses. That allows you to fill up the application form. It was good to be a part of that college

You have to pass the 12 th boards with above 90% marks then only you'll get the college. They always have the application form and all the informations in there official college website. There was reservation policies as I was sc so it was a little bit low cut off for my reservation. The exam pattern and difficulty level was a little bit hard.
