Remarks

Tezpur university is a central university, and every year in the university ranking report of overall india it performing the top and in the all asian region aswell. The campus is also really beautiful and as my nearer to the hometown i found this is the best for me. The teaching stuff is also good and after the completion of this we get the job aswell. So i found this course is helpful for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our departmental syllabus is covering all the criteria as a master degree level students should have to learn. We have not found any industrial exposure as our university is outside from town. We have 12 faculties and some of them are contractual teacher as well as guest professor.As sociology is a interdisciplinary course we have to learn many traditional courses such as polical science, economics, social work, So our syllabus is also upto the mark of new global form. And our teachers are really devoted to us.

Class Size: 8Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement opportunity a lot from the course for government job aswell as private sectors. Many of our alumni getting jobs in different platform, some of them are having research, P.Hd, some of them are doing their own firm, for the end last semester many of the NGO's companies visited offered us to getting internship and after the successful completion of it we will getting job.

As we know it is a central university the Campus life is really nice. It's a evergreen university. And infrastructure is also really good enough, there are playground, labs, canteens, markets,auditorium, park, playgrounds, basketball court, volleyball court, University has holding lots of international as well as regional & national seminar, conferences, student exchange programs, versity week, youth fest, republic day celebration.

Placement Experience:

Mainly students from 5th semester are recommended for campus placements and many local comapanies have made a visit in our college Highest package provided is around 8 lakh per annum and the average package being provided is around 3.5 lakh to 4 lakh per annum Percentage of students being placed are around 50 to 60 percent all total My plans after getting degree is to pursue mba from highly reputated college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty members were quite slow in some aspects. Yet they need to work on the staff for the admission department. Would definitely look up for improvement for the coming sessions. Haven't had any class yet due to covid but they say it's gonna start soon. Hope we don't lose out this year.

Remarks:

Students from entire North East Region used to come to JB College. Many also came from northern province too. The feasibility, faculty and the campus were the centre of attraction for the students. I owe to college for everything that I am today.
