Remarks

It is the best college in Kolkata because of its discipline, dignity and student centric curriculum. There are a plethora of events that take place providing equal opportunities to everyone. Xavier's would invariably embellish my career because of its reputation and brand value. Irrespective of the strict nature, the college renders an environment of cheerfulness and a sense of belonging.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is designed meticulously as per the UGC guidelines. Subjects such as Business law and Business Communication compel us to contemplate at the corporate world. We are regularly given assignments related to Finance, Marketing, Crisis Management and many more. Moreover, the excellent facilities and faculties abet the college's academic and non academic structure.

Course Fees: INR 96000 per year

Placement Experience

I am a 1st year student and have no knowledge regarding placement process and all. In these trying times of Corona virus, our classes are held online and as a result I never got the chance to visit the campus.

College Events

Not been to Campus yet but I thing I can say is that there are a myriad of fest and events. As far as I know, the college has fifteen different societies such as the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Xavier's Commerce Society, The Theatrical Society, Xavier's Management Society, Enactus and more. Some important events are X-Genesis, Prism and Inception.

Placmenets in iit kgp is quite good and high compared to other iits or other engineering colleges many companies visit our college and mostly reputed compaines like amazon microsoft and honeywell comes and many students got selected through the college placement. 80% of the students are getting placed through off campus and on campus

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

Companies of all domains like the Asian Paints, EY, Nestle and HDFC Bank among all of them come to SXC. Biggest placements so far has been of 20 lakhs or so when one of the student was placedat such a package in 2024.

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

I thought of pursuing engineering and therefore have WBUJEE and JEE both. However, Kolkata engineering colleges apart from Jadavpur University is not worth it and since I got rejection from there, I made SXC to be the place. SXC is invaluable to me!

Admission i tried at almost all the colleges of Kolkata. Goenka was also in my mind as there the classes are in the morning and even St Xavier's Private University as well. SXC is an old pedigree!

There are no entrances like the Delhi University which I gave as well. Here admission are based on 12th percentage and the subjects that we have had. So, for general category in 2025 admission 92.7% from any board was the cut-off. For OBC it was 81 and for SC/ST students it was 73%....Read More
