Remarks

It is among one of the top National Law Universities in India and I wanted to get into one of the top ones. My factors for joining it were environment, library and curriculam. And, City of Joy, Kolkata!!!

Course Curriculum Overview

We were taught subjects like Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, International Trade Law, Law of Taxation, Competition Laws, Company Law, Securities Law; syllabus was updated to the recent developments. No, LL.M students are not provided with any industrial exposure from the college. Faculties were very competent, a few were very good, like Sandeepa Bhat sir, Sreeniwasulu Sir.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

They are provided for B.A.LL.B students as they have their own committee and they didn't allow us to get interviewed by the firms. I don't know what kind of thing was that. I think it was due to the period they learn there for 5 years and LL.M's only get a short span of 1 year to wrap things up.

Campus Life

It has everything in its 5 acre small campus in the main city area. Mess, Canteen, Hostel for boys and girls, Academic block, Auditorium, Football Ground, Library, Meeting hall, Recreation room; almost everything was there as I think.

Hostel Facilities

LL.M boys don't get hostel there due to the reason that it might accomodate only Undergraduate students to its capacity. Hostel infrastructure is ok. Mess food was good and cheap as well. Ireally enjoyed being at that place. We 4 boys used to live outside of campus in a 2bhk flat.

Gitanjali college also gives adequate placements opportunities. Opportunities comes from many sectors. Appolo, Med plus etc. are common and easy opportunities. Beside them Mainly Production companies like Macloids, Sun Pharma etc also conducts interview for their production units every year. Interviews are arranged for 4th year students only.
