Remarks
It was a home away from home for me. If you judiciously use everything the college has to offer, not only will you leave as an extremely well qualified lawyer with a great job but also as a very good human. But like every other college, it ultimately depends on what you chose to do with the time and resources at your disposal.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is diverse, intended to let you learn not just about law but the interdisciplinary standards required in today's world. Exams are standard. 30 marks internal assessment and 70 for the paper. However course teachers may vary their assessment criteria.
Placement Experience
The college has a 100% placement record with the students earning the most number of jobs in law firms with the highest pay packages. Additionally, there is also help.procised to those who pursue a master's, litigation, policy and whatever else.
College Events
The college has two major fears. Invicta and outlawed. The former is the largest law School sports fest in India. And the latter is largest law school cultural fest in India. The college is vibrant and alive during these festivals with over a 1000 people attending. Additionally the college celebrates smaller events and festivals in a regular basis.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's expensive for government institutions. Roughly 2.5 lakhs a year. However there are quite a few scholarship options available. This is also inclusive of hostel fees. But yes. It is on the expensive side of things.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a merit cum means scholarship offered by the University itself. Additionally, I have heard that there are others but honestly, I do not know about them.
Campus Life
NUJS has two reports available online. The diversity census and the annual report. Please read them. Additionally visit the SJA website for answers. But generally, there's a lot of free time and so the University is very big on extra curriculars and students have excelled at these events.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes. We have alumni groups and students coordinators. They are extemeely helpful. Feel free to reach out to them.
Admission
There's an entrance exam called CLAT. There's no interview. If you get the requisite marks, then you're accepted in. It's amongst the top 3 law schools in India so you'd definitely choose it should you get it.
Faculty
The faculty is a mix. You'll find extemeely qualified, very bright and vey interested teachers there. You'll also find teachers merely interested in their pay packet and lunch dabbas. But the teaching facilities available are immense and very helpful for you research if you're so inclined.
