Remarks

The good remark is College is highly reputed and it's hard to get into it that's make the college standard. The bad thing in college students are divided according to State like Kerala, AP, Rajasthan, UP, Bihar and all that's I don't like a bit. It always make me angry

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum and exam structure is completely industry based but in my view there can be some changes like they can involve technology more on the place of hand written stuffs and all. And apart from giving book knowledge for each subject they can projects and workshops based on that subject. The course plan is reserch based but due to academic pressure it's hard to enter in reserch fields.

Placement Experience

4

Placement of college nice. From last 3 years it's continuously increasing. But the point is circuit branches get more offers compare to other branches. And research oriented branches like Biotechnology, Engineering Physics there branches get less offers. Core branches like Mechanical and Civil get very rare opportunity in their filed. Mostly they have to select management offer or software offers. That's a sad reality. Regarding internship also same case mostly circuit branches students get internship from college other branches people doesn't get it.

College Events

4.5

There are two big fest 1. Tathva - Technical fest 2. Ragam - Cultural fest Apart from these two big fest there is every month some fest is organised that is done by some club or committee of college. Those events are mainly for first year to give them insights about college and guide them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is feasible. College fees differes according to income of parents. If income is less than 1lpa students will not be charged any tution fee. If income is between 1lac and 5lac then students would be charged 33% of total fee. And if income is more than 5lpa than students will be charged complete fee that is 62,500 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't get selected for any scholarships and as I know mostly scholarship are provided by GOI because NITC is central funded college. I didn't take educational loan also. But I know in my college only SBI gives educational loan and college accept that only not from other banks.

Campus Life

As NITC is central funded college, college life is very good. It's having campus in 300 acre that's huge. And people are from different places of India so you learn many kind of things there. The gender ratio is no doubt less as mostly girls are not allowed to take civil or mechanical department that's why it becomes less. I am Mechanical engineering student in my batch we are 66 boys and 1 girls While in computer science batch it's 50 boys and 16 girls Overall the gender ratio is very less The workshop, parties and all are part of engineering life so no doubt they are there in a time interval. And as we are talking about sports NITC has his own team in every sports and college support sports activities to much so sports is on top of everything :)

Hostel Facilities

Yes I have opted for hostel. As college is very far from I had no option other than opting a hostel. The hostel rooms are sharing. In final year students get individual rooms. Regarding rooms, mostly hostel are old so infrastructure of hostels are old. The average rent of a hostel room is 1100 per month and mess charges fix for a day it's between 80-85 rupees per day and if you are taking some extra then it will be added in final mess bill.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very good. Everyone linked on a LinkedIn page by that they are always ready to help. Many are living outside India still they are connected so Alumni network is very strong

Admission

To get admission in NITC you must have to pass JEE Main exam that held twice every year in the month of January and April. After passing the exam the next step is counselling in that you have to select college and preferred branch according to your AIR in JEE Main.

Faculty

4

The faculty details of college can be accessed using college official Website. In website there is section named as department. After going into that the particular faculty of particular department can be accessed and you can look into what and all projects that particular faculty doing and was a part of project.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.
