Remarks

It's a reputed govt engineering college in the country and comes under institute of national importance. Our college has maintained a record in placing students to well known and reputedcompanies. Students all over India appear for JEE main in a number of 12-15 lacks per year out of which only 33 thousands students got chance to enroll themselves in our institute. Most importantly our faculty members are highly qualified and have doctorate degree even from abroad they have a great experience in teaching students for several years. Students from our college get internship opportunities before job and even projects in top IITs, they learn how to work in actual work field beside academic studies.

Course Curriculum Overview

According to my opinion I would say that the course which we are pursuing is really good enough to cover all the necessary topics which we need to learn or we should know for the jobs which we will get after placement. Now a days the companies as well as industries actually demand this kind of theoretical and practical experience which we are taught in our college. Beside academics we have opportunity to work in the companies, industries as well as in founded projects in top institutions as summer and winter intern. Our curriculum almost cover everything which we need to learn for the actual work field but as it is designed by the MHRD.

Internships Opportunities

Last month I have done intern for TUTED and currently a ongoing project

Placement Experience

4

Our college has a really good placement and internship facilities which students get from various companies which come to hire us. From it companies to core companies and foreign banks and financial institutes as well as coaching institute also come to recruit students.

College Events

5

Our college has govt funded clubs which in which students can get enrolled and participate in different co curricular activities. Campus life is really awesome I would say we can meet students from different regions and parts across the country, and along with them we get to learn about their cultures too. We together celebrate all occasions and functions such as independence and republic day, sports day language day and a lots of events.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well as far as I know our college don't provide scholarship facilities but fee waiver to the students who belongs to less family income groups and to students who have quotas

Campus Life

All the IITs and NITs have excellent infrastructure as central government spent a lot for us. Our college has playgrounds and courts for almost all kind of sports gymnasium for students to keep fit and healthy. College has full WiFi facility for students and faculties as well as staff members.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I have opted for hostel. Though the hostel is quite old and thus we face a bit difficulty though but we get used to it. At the very first day I faced lots of issues and so my friends but later on we get to used to it

Placement Experience:

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

From the 2nd last semester, that is the final year, students become eligible for campus placements. Last year, two of our seniors got placed at Reborn Child Development Centre (Durgapur and Asansol) with an average package of Rs 200,000. This year, three students of our batch, including me, got an internship for three months at Reborn through an in-person interview.
