Remarks

Gargi College is one of the best all girls college in DU. And i was getting the preferred course and preferred subjects. The college environment is that of learning and growing. The faculty is very educated and good as well. Overall, i chose gargi because of the environment and the course.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very thorough and good for those who want to further pursue Political Science. The faculties are good and very helpful. The professor student interaction is great and lectures are very interactive.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 11000 per year

Placement Experience

There is a placement cell which looks after the placements and all. Anyone can sit for placements irrespective of their courses but they have to register with the placement cell first. The placement process is smooth as the placement cell staff and students both are present to help students at every step.

College Events

There are many events spread over the span of every semester for students to participate in. There are plenty of extracurricular activities on campus. There are cultural and non cultural societies that students can join as per their interest. Gargi holds two major fests, one is Zistatva which is diwali mela and the other is annual cultural fest Reverie. Reverie is DU's one of the biggest fests and also one of the best.

Campus Life

The college campus is small compared to other colleges. The college furniture is also a little rusty. There are network issues on the campus. It's hard to call or attend calls on campus. The library is okay.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is not there. PGs are available near the college. There are many pgs at walking distance from the college but you have to book them in advance as the demand for pgs closer to college is very high.

Hostel Fee: INR 138000 per year

My colleague life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum was to the point. Everything was explained nicely in books provided to us and faculty, teachers were very good. They were passionate about their job . I personally had no problems with timings or frequency of exams. I can't comment on areas of improvement either.

After the fifth semester, you will be eligible for campus placements. Name of companies with placements are TCS 3.5 LPA WIPRO 4.8 LPA The highest package offered was from TCS which was 7.5 LPA. About 70% of students get placed every year. To be a software engineer.

Standing tall in COVID times

Placement Experience:

One of the MSPs of the college is the placement records. The average stipend is 15 LPA which is commendable for colleges in this league. The summer placements went really great and the entire batch got placed within about 5-6 weeks.

I got admission in this college by cut off list that University of Delhi releases. I got 85.6% in 12th by which i managed to pass the cut off marks. I opt for this college after I heard about it by some of my elders that the science faculty of this collage is really very good.

Super duper GARGI.

I choose over others like kamla nehru college or jesus merry college because of its strong NRIF rank and academic reputation, excellent infrastructure, and better alumini network . The faculty is highly qualified and the college offer good placement offers. I did face rejection from vanky college due to their higher entrance cut off but i belive my current college is also soo much better. The admission process was also straightforward accepting scores from cuet with cutoffs based on courses. My score was 752 out of 800 .
