Remarks

It is the only best university after thapar nearest to my home. Getting admission in thapar is very difficult and so my only option left was this. But i am completely satisfied with my decision as the university is not that bad.

Course Curriculum Overview

The university has managed to establish its brand name. It is slowly taking entry into the list of top engineering colleges of india due to the high level of education they provide. Our syllabus is well updated and i can guarntee this many topics taught here would be unknown to other students. Lots of industrial exposure. Faculty is excellent and teaches in a very efficient manner by regularly providing assignments, presentations etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

Now placement is something which can single handedly decide whether a college is good or bad. Placements here are good and year by year it is increasing. The management tries a lot to bring as many companies possible and at present more than 300 companies visit here for placement. Avg package 4lpa Highest package- 32lpa

College Events

5

Noone would want a college with 0 campus life and waste 4years of their college life without making any beautiful memories. Chitkara is where you will have lots of memories to make with your friends. The environment here is same as shown in punjabi movies- full of masti and mauj. Fests are huge and big punjabi singers perform in these fests.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has scholarships for deserving candidates from poor financial background. Check the collegs website or visit the office for exact info

Campus Life

Simply awesome. The college has many other courses too apart from engineering and hence campus size is huge. Sports ground for cricket, footbaall are all present. We have 3 libraries which have all the books required and computer systems with all the online journals. Labs are all equipped with latest technology equipments.

Placement Experience:

Since the first batch of VLSI is yet to be placed I would take example of ECE for reference. Out of 110 students which sat for placements , 91 got placed , median of 13 lakh with avergae of 16 lakh and 61 lakh highest on campus. These are of 24-25 and this year placements are better as even apple visited us after an hiatus of 3 years. In core electronics , Samsung Rnd , TATA electronics , Cadence , Micron etc visited for tech , UKG , PhonePay , Oracle , Accenture etc vist in consulting and finance , Mckinsey , JP Morgan , GoldmanSachs , AmericanExpress visit. After my btech I plan to do a job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read
