TUSHAR KRISHNA's Review On The West Bengal National University Of Juridical Sciences - [NUJS], Kolkata

Firstly, its location (as it is located in main city of Kolkata, unlike other top NLUs like NALSAR and NLUJ); secondly, its academic structure which is not very cumbersome (Also, it has only two semester unlike NLS and NLIU); Thirdly, here, most of the things are student run; Finally, its recent achievements.

Some faculties are brilliant (especially, for compulsory law subjects which is a good thing); however, the same is not true for each and every faculty (especially, for the Arts Papers). In view of Syllabus, it is totally updated based on contemporary changes.

Mainly law firms and several companies visit our college to offer placements. Also, many of our alumni are getting scholarship from foreign colleges like Cambridge, Oxford, et al.

Our college is well known for the fests, especially the Outlaw Party which goes on for 3 days with full of entertainment and lots of activities. Also, our college supports extracurricular activities like Mooting, ADR, Debating, et al. which actually goes on throughout the year.

NUJS has one Merit cum Means Scholarship Program which is provided to those students whose family income is less than 6 Lakhs per year. However, this scholarship does not apply for NRIs and Foreign Nationalists.

We are having good wi-fi connections in our hostels as well as in our college. Also, the library has quite enough resources, which indeed get updated continuously. We are having lots of premium subscription of many of the well known online research platforms. Although we don't have our own separate fields for various sports, we can play sports at the Sports Authority of India which is very close to our campus.
