Remarks

First it is my home university and second only a very college and university are there in India on course forestry. It is the first university of the forestry and horticulture in Asia. So has a very good reputation.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is based on the ICAR norms Moreover the syllabus is very good and in the final year there is south tour of around one month as well two tours of Himachal pradesh. One month industrial attachment.

Placement Experience

1.5

Generally no or 1 to two company's visit. Moreover the mainly placement done on the individual basis. This is the most important thing lacking in our university. Moreover there is no reservation for the forestry students in the state as well centre services exams.

College Events

4.5

Overall the campus is good and there are mainly two function held at the university first the fresher cum cultural night and second is the farewell function. Generally the around 800-900 actively participate in the function.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such facility available. However the students (PG STUDENTS ONLY) is provided to the Himachal students ADMITTED against the general seat. However other scholarships can be availed as per there guidelines like DST INSPIRE AND ICAR JRF SRF

Campus Life

3.5

Infrastructure is good. Although there is no facility of the WiFi and library timing are also very less only 10-5 pm. However every year there is sportmeets more over the more or less labs are fully equipped.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes I have opted for the hostel. For the bachelor's student the hostel is on the sharing basis (3 students per room) whereas for the MBA and MSC students 2 students per room and finally single room for the PhD student. Moreover the mess is attached to the each hostel. The average rent is 400 Rs. In case of SC /ST students the room rent is waived off.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nursing is all about skills, and the more practice you do, the better...i spent most of my time in hospital with patients for at least 9 months ever year....the duty used to be of 6 hours and the rest 2 hours we used to have a class till 4 pm Ut was a bit hectic but it really helped me in clearing all my concepts and improving my skills in handling a patient also the internship program is like cherry on top so good it covers everything you learn in 4 years and makes you ready for the outer world....I would say in terms of improvement, they need to reschedule their classes and clinicals timing because it gets draining and we don't get much time to study, so we usually just study because we used to be so exhausted.
