Everyone know that agriculture is of great importance and it's worth is increasing on a daily basis and opting for this course helps to learn various scientific methods to allow in the improvement of the traditional farming methods. With the help of agriculture extension.. these technologies are provided and being taught to different farmers and stakeholders. This course also allows us to get the practical knowledge by different field works.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is approximately equal to Rs.50,000/- along with all the expenses. The odd semester fees is usually more than the even semester fees. There are scholarship for ICAR students and some other schemes are also there.. merit scholarships are also available. Management fees is twice as much as of the regular fees.. semester wise registration fees is Rs.700/- along with Rs.600/- continuance fees. Campus Life

4

The classrooms provided can easily accommodate the total strength of 140 students but still some year students have been provided with comparatively smaller classrooms. But to overcome this, new infrastructure are are under construction and soon new labs and lecture theatres will be provided. Different sports opportunities are also provided for the interested students to participate in different sports meets held in different states. Hostellers are a way more benefited from all the university accessibilities. A library is also provided with a book bank to issue books for a longer duration. The Library remains open from 10 am to 5pm for issue of books but for study purpose.. one can visit the library till 8pm. A sports complex is also there and students are free to visit that anytime.

Admission

The other colleges I've applied for offer courses whose jobs can be later substituted with AI but if we talk about agriculture.. I don't think that there is a scope for AI to work in field and take over the manual work. The admission in this college is based upon the ICAR score cards which are prepared on the basis of CUET score.

Faculty

4

There can be more faculty.. the expertise of the available staff is trusting but the students can be able to improve much with a much more interactive staff to help solve their problems related to their course and career. The exams are taken in 3 different durations.. mid term, practicals and end term with the marks distribution of 20, 30 and 50 respectively where, the mid terms and practical are checked on internal basis while the external exams are marked by some other external examiner.

Night Life

5

A gym with various necessary equipments is also there in the university campus with the same timings as of the hostel.. after the hectic day schedule of classes from 10am - 5pm.. students usually prefer to spend their time in cafeteria and take a walk in the campus with us filled with nature.. one can visit the farms and orchids.. the fruit farms are a must to visit!

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as my father had studied the same course and had the same profession that I'm aiming for. For improvements i would like to recommend more practicals rather than theory classes as, practical knowledge is just as important as theoretical knowledge. The frequency of exams is a problem. There is very less gap between examinations which makes it difficult to prepare for the vast subjects. Plus, the marking is strict, and the criteria to pass the exams are also complicated.

The course curriculum is good overally but also kind of too much for a student to cover as you got 10-12 courses in a semester to study. The frequency and timing of the exams should be adjusted so that students may got appropriate time to prepare for them
